Westerners' skin is somewhat different from Asians'.
When Lin Guixiang gave Immortal Phoenix to Astrid, she just tried it out without much expectation. Surprisingly, Immortal Phoenix worked just as well for Westerners and essentially showed no difference in effect compared to Asians.
