Bai Lu was once again left speechless by Grandma Lu's rebuke.
After finishing the last can of cola, Grandma Lu turned and headed upstairs.
Bai Lu watched the old lady's back and couldn't help but shake her head somewhat helplessly.
Indeed, the old become like unreasonable children.
Grandma Lu returned to her room, closed the door, and then walked over to the cabinet to retrieve a box perched on top of it.
But the cabinet was too high; even on her tiptoes, she couldn't reach the box. Reluctantly, Grandma Lu had to drag over a stool and, with its aid, she finally managed to get the box down successfully.
The box was made of rosewood.
It looked quite old as the paint was already peeling off.
Because Grandma Lu never allowed anyone to clean her room, aside from the peeling paint, the box also had a thick layer of dust on it.
Grandma Lu picked up a cloth and wiped the box carefully, taking a good long while before finally opening the lid.
Click.
The lid opened.
