Jiang Xi propped up her chin, her expression one of deep thought, "Jiujiu, my dad died at the border, and after I returned from the border, I lost all memory of that year."
"You think that what you've dreamed might be the memories you lost from that year?" Qin Jiu, being Jiang Xi's close friend, almost instantly grasped her meaning.
"Mhmm."
Jiang Xi knew how absurd it sounded to say this; if her dream had been about anything else, she wouldn't have thought so.
Because it was her dad in her dreams, and the pain in those dreams was so intense and bone-deep as if she had experienced it herself, real enough to make her overthink.
"It's just a dream, aren't you thinking too much into it?" Qin Jiu was worried she was obsessing over it.
Jiang Xi shook her head, "I hope I'm overthinking it, but ever since I came back from the border, everyone around me, including my mom, has been tight-lipped about my dad's death."
