Wen Mulan had thought that upon hearing these words, Lu Mianmian's expression would change, at the very least, it would no longer be this cold and distant.
Yet to his surprise, there was not the slightest change in Lu Mianmian's expression.
"You came, just to tell me all this?" she asked calmly.
A certain unpleasant premonition suddenly rose in his heart.
"Just? Do you think that's all this is?" he said.
She didn't know that these past days he had been looking through the paintings he had done of her, over and over, and with each painting, that indescribable agony spread through his body, swept over him, almost enough to drown him entirely.
She also didn't know the determination it took for him to stand here now, to say these words to her.
Getting back to how they were before was not a matter of light conversation; for that, he would have to pay too great a price!
Even so, he still wanted to be with her; this desire was uncontrollable!
