Lu Mianmian woke up to find the sunlight piercingly bright and her head throbbing with pain.
"Good heavens, it hurts so much," she thought, as though numerous needles were pricking her brain.
She raised a hand to shield her eyes.
"Mom, could you draw the curtains for me? My head is killing me!" Lu Mianmian called out. But right after she finished speaking, she remembered that her mother was at the hospital accompanying her father, and she was home alone.
Just as she thought about getting up to close the curtains herself, suddenly, the sound of the curtains being drawn rang out, and the blinding sunlight disappeared.
Lu Mianmian lowered her hand, and a figure came into view. "Does your head hurt a lot? I bought some hangover medicine. After you wash up, take it first; it can relieve the headache."
Lu Mianmian stared in a daze at the figure before her, "Why are you here?"
"You were drunk last night. I was worried about you being alone, so I stayed at your place," Wen Mulan said.
