"They were never related to me, so why should I care?" Wen Mulan said.
Lu Mianmian observed Wen Mulan's expression and, realizing that he truly didn't seem to care, let out a sigh of relief, "That's good then."
"So, you don't need to worry about those insignificant matters either," Wen Mulan said.
Lu Mianmian said, "How can that be insignificant? They were cursing at you just now!"
"Do you care?" he asked.
"How could I not care!" she said.
He smiled gently, his eyes lighting up with a bright sparkle, "Mianmian, thank you!"
Lu Mianmian stared blankly at Wen Mulan's smiling face, and in that moment, felt as though she was bewitched.
Even though she knew she should not sink in, knew that she had to look away, or else she might fall deep into it.
Yet her eyes seemed to defy her will, still staring straight at him.
Until a voice rang out, "Mianmian!"
Lu Mianmian snapped back to reality and turned towards the voice, only to see Ren Chuqing and Wen Muqing approaching.
