Interrupting Will's musings, an arrow of light zipped past where his head had been before tilting it to the side. At the same time, he felt a wave of pressure and heat as six three-meter-wide fireballs arced through the air and rained down on his position.
Equipping a shimmering blue cutlass in his right hand, Will slashed at the approaching fireballs. The blade, which resembled solidified water rather than ice, generated a protective swirl of fast-moving water around him, effectively neutralizing the fireballs but also leaving him vulnerable to the attack occurring alongside it.
