Chapter 1 - Chapter: Beginning

In an orphanage, a young boy is watching the only TV available to him in the dull and sorrowful place he calls home. As he watches the Pokemon world championship, a bright smile appears on his face, and he sees Champion Leon's Charizard use Slash on Cynthia's Garchomp. Cynthia's Mega Garchomp screams can be heard before it falls face down on the stadium grounds. It's over. Leon has won again, keeping his title as the strongest and undefeated champion of the world.

[You've just witnessed an incredible victory! Leon has managed to defeat the one and only Cynthia, one of the strongest Champions in the Sinnoh region!] The referee roared as the stadium erupted into chants of "Leon"!

Walking up to Leon, Cynthia shook the young man's hand and raised it high. The crowd erupted in cheers, calling Leon number one.

"Fuck yes! He did it!" "The young man screamed out loud, appearing to be in his mid-teens. He was dressed in a red jacket with diamond patterns, paired with grey joggers. His ash grey hair extended to his neck, covering his face with two bangs, and his eyes were lapis blue. He had light brown skin.

["Leon, sir! Do you have anything to say to any inspiring trainers that want to explore this Pokemon world," in be the very best,] said an interviewer in a Galarin accent.

Grabbing the microphone out of the attractive interviewer's hands, the undefeated champion of Galar begins to say his grand speech.

[Attention all aspiring trainers and Pokémon trainers! I, Leon, along with Director Rose, have come up with a plan to provide financial opportunities to young trainers aged between 16 and 19. After the tragic events caused by an evil organization that resulted in the death of a trainer, we were reluctant to allow young trainers to embark on their adventures at the age of 10, due to international laws that prioritize the well-being of children. Unfortunately, the cost of obtaining a trainer's license has also become prohibitively expensive, even for those who take the course at Pokémon schools. This has made it challenging for many people to pursue their dreams of becoming trainers. We hope that our initiative will help aspiring trainers overcome these obstacles and fulfill their goals. We know that it's difficult for lower-income families to participate. Chairman Rose will provide further details about this initiative.

In a private booth, surrounded by nine individuals, sat the chairman of the Galar region. He stood up with a bright smile on his face and approached the microphone to explain more about the program.

["As champion Leon has mentioned, we, along with nine important figures from their respective regions, have devised a plan to ensure that aspiring trainers in their home countries have an equal opportunity to become trainers, professors, coordinators, and even rangers. Ladies and gentlemen, this plan aims to create fairness for all."] The chairman stood up and then gestured towards the special guest.

First, a bald man was wearing black glasses. Over his expensive suit, he wore a lab coat with a pendant/name tag. This was Blane from Cinnabar Island, located in the Kanto region. Next to him was a woman with blond hair tied in a ponytail. She appeared to be in her mid-thirties and had a stern expression on her face. Her bosom was eye-catching to any young male and older alike.

This is Konako, from the cauliflower family. She works as a teacher in Goldenrod City located in the Johto region. Like Jane, she was also elegantly dressed, wearing a black dress that hugged her body quite well.

There was a man named Scott who was overweight and wore black sunglasses. He worked as a scout whose task was to find promising trainers who might have the chance to participate in the Pokemon Frontier. He dressed quite stylishly like his colleagues. Standing next to him was Nicola, Cynthia's mother, who was in her early to mid-fifties. Despite being in her fifties, she looked young enough to be mistaken for Cynthia's older sister.

Everything went smoothly until we reached our sixth guest, a man named Lysandre. He was famous for revolutionizing the technology industry, and over a decade, his company became one of the largest and most profitable in the world.

The boy had stars in his eyes, before thinking to himself 'No fucking way, it's a chance that I can become a Pokemon trainer, to finally leave on my adventure," thought the young man, who continued to watch the program.

[Enrollment begins tomorrow. Please visit your local Pokémon Center to check if you qualify for the Trainers' Need program. That's all for now! Stay tuned for more news about the upcoming champion.]

Before the young man continued to watch the important program, an old angry wrinkled hag glared at him. "Azure, didn't I tell you to prepare dinner for the children? And now I catch you slacking off and watching TV. Arceus' son, when are you going to start taking life seriously instead of daydreaming about being a Pokémon trainer?" scolded the old caretaker.

The boy now named Azure glared at the old hag, saying. "It's not a dream, it's going to be a reality you old ass hag! And for your information, the National Pokémon League just announced a program to give young teens like me a chance to become Pokémon trainers," said the boy with a sly smile on his face.

The old lady's eyes widened before returning to her usual serious and stern look." Just get your ass in the kitchen, prepare dinner you little brat," said the old lady, who somehow mimicked Iruka sensei from Naruto's 'big head' jutsu.'"

As Azure wiped the spit off his face, he let out a growl before making his way to the kitchen. Unbeknownst to him, the old lady's expression changed as she turned to a photo of Azure's father and said, "Shin, I'm afraid I won't be able to keep my promise after all. He is the spitting image of you when you were younger. And his desire to be a trainer is greater than yours," the woman said under her breath before heading downstairs.

At a large table, children of various ages were enjoying broccoli cheese soup with chunks of ham and a loaf of fresh bread from the bakery. All the kids, teens, and the elderly woman were smiling as they enjoyed their meal. One of the preschool-aged kids said, "Azure's soups are always delicious!" All the children agreed, their faces beaming with big smiles.

Azure smiled and tousled Oliver's blond hair. "Thanks, Oliver. Keep at it, and I'll even make dessert tonight," he said with a smile. When Oliver and the other kids heard this, they began to kiss up to Azure, praising him for his culinary skills.

A boy with red hair begins to snicker, saying something slick under his breath. "Pokemon master, more like Pokemon maid. I can't believe he is wearing that sissy ass apron," mutter the redhead, who had to dodge a fork coming his way. Everyone heard his comment including Azure himself.

"Watch your mouth Ken, or I will wash your mouth with dish soap! Especially when the kids are around," said the old lady.

Ken snorted before stuffing another spoonful of soup into his mouth. A blond-haired girl giggled, infuriating the boy and causing him to be flustered. They were Loraine Ackers and Ren Tokoki, Azure's best friends and the only friends his age at the orphanage. Azure just smiled before picking up his spoon and tapping his glass cup. The room went silent, all eyes gazing at Azure, waiting to hear what he had to say. "Tomorrow, I will be taking the trainer's exam. I have finally decided that I want to become a trainer following in my father's footsteps," Azure said with a confident look on his face.

Everyone was silent, till Ken burst out laughing. Azure begins to frown, and everyone begins to glare at Ken angrily. Loraine begins to have a sad expression on her face. After finishing laughing Ken begins to give Azure some advice, but even if he is trying to be helpful, it seems like he is trash-talking.

"Listen, you need to be more realistic than aspiring to be a Pokemon master, especially considering our backgrounds. And before you start talking about financial aid from championships, do you really think any academy would accept a boy whose father was an abuser and alcoholic, a girl whose father was nearly responsible for the destruction of the entire region and world, and a boy whose father abandoned him to pursue championship glory in another region, leaving his mother to-" The caretaker of the orphanage slammed her hands on the table and glared at Ken, cutting him off.

"Ken, enough!" shouted the caretaker. Realizing what he had done, he saw Azure gone and Loraine, who had lost her cheerful attitude, now replaced with a melancholic one. All the kids, especially the younger ones, began to sniffle, realizing that Ken's comment had crushed their dreams.

Ken started to look around the room, and the smug look on his face turned into one of guilt. "I-I-I'm... sorry, everyone," stuttered Ken before sitting there, now silent, and thinking over the things he had said, especially about Azure's father, he knew that was a sworn topic, something Azure tries to forget every day.

Meanwhile, in Veilstone City, a group of shady individuals was desperately searching for something, but what could it be? In the shadows, a peculiar Pokémon wearing a helmet was spotted. It stood on all fours and appeared to be like some type of chimera Pokemon, incorporating traits from various Pokémon. It had a fish-like tail and insect-like front legs, making it a truly enigmatic creature. It was badly wounded, and it could barely stand up.

Running toward Celestic Town, the protagonist's current location, a random man and his Bisharp discover the mysterious Pokemon's footsteps. Clicking on his earpiece, he said, " I have found experiment  JEWL OF LIFE, it's heading to Celestic town. Should I engage in the capture-"

["No, abort the mission. It wouldn't be wise to chase after it. Celestial town is home to the current champion of the Sinnoh league, Cynthia. If she finds out about this, there's no doubt she will try to poke her nose into our organization."]

End of Chapter.
