"Wait!".
I said when I saw my mother. I felt a presence and figured it would be her. But she was walking away and I couldn't have that.
I missed her so much.
I remembered her so well like she had been forever present with me. But my heart ached at the large hole in it caused by the void of not having her beside me.
I felt her hand touch my forehead as though checking my temperature then my hair was moved from my face and tucked behind my ear.
I slowly held onto her hand and tightened my hold on it.
It had been so long since I touched her.
She started tapping my head slowly which seemed to have calmed me down.
"Why did you leave the first time?". I asked. I wanted to ask where she had been all these decades. Why did she and her father leave me alone at a young age to rule?
She must have said something but I could not hear it. I didn't.
