Chereads / The Story of the Future King of the Mages / Chapter 5 - 5 Getting Stronger

Chapter 5 - 5 Getting Stronger

Ezran stood in the castle courtyard, preparing for his morning training session. The events of the previous chapter still weighed heavily on his mind, reminding him of the challenges he would face on his journey to become the future king of the mages.

Taking a deep breath, Ezran felt the energy of the earth flow through him. He knew he needed to push himself even harder if he was to be ready to fulfill his destiny.

With a swift motion of his hands, Ezran summoned a swirling vortex of wind, the gusts whipping around him fiercely. He gritted his teeth, straining to maintain control of the powerful elemental magic.

"Very good, Ezran," a familiar voice called out. Ezran turned to see the wise old mage, Galen, observing him from the sidelines. "Your command of the wind is growing stronger with each passing day."

Ezran bowed respectfully. "Thank you, Master Galen. But I know I have much more to learn if I am to become the king of the mages."

Galen nodded, his eyes filled with a mixture of pride and concern. "The events of the past have shaken you, I can see. But do not let fear cloud your judgment. True power comes not just from the mastery of magic, but from the strength of one's character and resolve."

Ezran listened intently, knowing the old mage's words held great wisdom. "How can I continue to grow stronger, both in my magical abilities and as a person? I must be ready to face any challenge that comes my way."

"That is a question with many answers," Galen replied, stroking his long, gray beard thoughtfully. "For now, I suggest you focus on honing your skills in the elemental magics. Spend time communing with nature, feel the flow of energy all around you. And do not neglect your physical training as well - a strong body supports a strong mind."

Ezran nodded, his eyes burning with determination. "I will do as you say, Master. I am ready to push myself to new heights, no matter what obstacles may lie ahead."

"Excellent." Galen smiled warmly. "Now, let us begin the next phase of your training. Today, we shall delve deeper into the mysteries of the arcane..."

As Ezran listened intently to Galen's instructions, he knew that with each passing day, he was growing stronger - stronger in his magical abilities, and stronger in his resolve to become the future king of the mages, ready to face any challenge that came his way.
