It was the middle of the night. While the hunters rested, 2 archers decided to patrol the area around the shack as it was their turn to keep watch for the time being. They walked in the same direction and inspected the area, looking for footprints or any other abnormalities.
One of the hunters ventured out into the forest section and kept a close eye on her surroundings. She soon came across a burrow of rabbits, sleeping soundly on the ground. She crouched in front of them and reached out her hand, but something wasn't right.
"These rabbits... they're extremely skinny... I don't think there's any blood in their bones," she said as she picked one up, noticing that it was indeed deceased. "Even the rabbits the leader found were like this, but atleast they were alive..."
