As Hunter pierced the last undead with a sword he found on the ground, he had finally cleared 2 of his 7 objectives and had reached the 4th level. He opened his [Infinite Inventory] and checked to see how many potions he had left.
"3 huh," he muttered to himself as he grabbed one more, leaving only 2 to remain.
[Would you like me to locate a designated safe area?]
"Please do," replied Hunter.
[Locating Safe Zone...]
[Safe Zone Located!]
After following System Rosana, Hunter found himself in a bedroom with a broken floor, one lit candle and of course, a rat that ran from left to right.
"I should invest in a cat. I'd hate to get sick because I got bit by a freaking rodent," said Hunter as he sat on the bed and glanced around him.
He opened his [Status Screen] and began observing his attributes, along with his statistics.

"I really haven't leveled up significantly, have I?"
[You're doing better than most tier 18 hunters, Hunter Quinn. Besides, unlike them, you have the chance to improve]
"... I hate the fact that I'm improving at such a slow rate though," said Hunter. "I haven't even been using my new skills. I keep using the [Hellhound Chains] and the [Black Flames] as if they're the only skills I've been given. Not to mention the fact that [Prey Gaze] takes a huge toll on me."
[Hunter Quinn, once you reach 100 perfect stats on your strength, intelligence and agility, your skills will increase their base properties by 25%]
"Huh?" Hunter said as he looked at System Rosana. "What does that mean?"
[It means that 100 isn't your limit. You can go above and beyond, reaching statistics not known to mankind itself]
"What are you telling me, Rosana? Are you saying...?"
[That's correct. As long as you keep on fighting monsters or hunters that give you trouble, you will one day reach a power level that tier 1 hunters could only dream of]
Hunter's eyes widened upon hearing the system's words. "So, all I have to do is take it one step at a time..."
[Looks like your intelligence is finally increasing. So, what will you do now?]
Hunter clenched his fist and grabbed a healing potion from his [Infinite Inventory], drinking it afterwards. As the potion worked, his veins began tensing up, causing his muscles to bulge as he slowly regained his strength.
He threw the empty bottle back into his [Infinite Inventory] and got off the bed. With a determined expression on his face, he looked at System Rosana and said, "Where to next?"
[2 hours later...]
As he shouted and threw his chains towards the last of the armoured knights, Hunter landed the last couple blows on it and shattered the armour, eliminating it.

[System Rosana has allowed you to use Healing]
[System Rosana has successfully healed you]
After healing, Hunter regained all his strength and mana, eradicating the fatigue as quickly as it overcame him. A wall revealed a secret door behind him.
Hunter stepped through and left the 6th floor, emerging towards the 7th floor. As he left the passageway, System Rosana started glitching and sending static messages.
Hunter looked at the system worriedly. This wasn't because he was worried about the system. It was what the system would present to him.
'Whenever System Rosana tweaks out like this, I'm most likely going to die. It's adding a special quest for me...!' Hunter said to himself as he clenched his fist.
{Special Quest added:
-Kill the Slave}
Hunter was perplexed and raised a single eyebrow.
"The slave?" he asked himself as he looked at the screen.
Suddenly, footsteps approached from the left. Slow, damp footsteps that seemed ignorant of the existence of shoes. Hunter readied himself by pulling out his [Hellhound Chains] and gripping them tightly.
He focused up and waited until the mysterious figure finally revealed itself. Hunter was surprised.
"It's... a person... An actual person..."
[Hunter Quinn, I hate to say it...]
What stood before Hunter was a human like being. Its clothes were rags, its feet were tangled in chains and it had a collar attached to its chained hands. The being's hair was as white as snow and the eyes were as red as blood itself.
What it carried was none other than a reaper about twice its size, considering that it was atleast the height of 5'7".
[... But, that is not a human being. Atleast, not anymore]
It wasted no time. The slave dashed towards Hunter, drawing its reaper back before swinging it with incredible force. The reaper made an impact on the wall, causing debris to fly all over and dust to arise.
Thanks to [Fast Break], Hunter was able to easily evade the attack. But, if he was even a second late, he would've been killed without even knowing it. The slave turned its head towards Hunter and pulled the reaper from the fallen debris.
"Free... Me... Lord Santos..." the slave muttered beneath its breath in the voice of a young man.
Hunter raised an eyebrow and quickly whipped his chain around. Then, he whipped it towards the slave, who simply smacked the chain away with its reaper. Charging towards Hunter, the slave left a dent on the floor and aimed to slice Hunter.
Fortunately, Hunter dodged and blocked the reaper with his chains. He grunted as the impact of the weapon was too great and was slowly pushed back. Hunter drew his leg back and kicked the slave on its stomach, causing it to gag and back away.
This allowed Hunter to get some space and catch his breath quickly. The slave recovered just as quickly and charged towards Hunter, only for him to evade using [Fast Break].
This allowed him to create a huge distance between himself and the slave within atleast 2 seconds. But, that was futile as the slave quickly turned its head and charged towards him in the last remaining second.
'Shit!'
Hunter raised his chain towards his face and luckily blocked the swing from the reaper. This sent him flying and crashing through a wall, hurting his back. He limply picked himself up and began panting.
'System Rosana, what is that thing?' inquired Hunter.
[A slave, it seems. Unlike the undead, skeleton knights and armoured knights, slaves are knowledgeable and extremely viscous monsters.
They strongest of their kind possess strength equivalent to tier 15 hunters, while the weakest only possess the strength of tier 16 hunters]
"So, I'm screwed either way..."
The slave dashed towards Hunter and burst through the wall. Hunter spun his chains like nunchucks and managed to block the attacks of the slave and its reaper.
Then, he smacked the reaper towards the ceiling, presenting an opportunity for him to strike. As the slave revealed an opening on its neck, Hunter used his free hand to punch the throat, causing the slave to gag and lose control of its reaper.
As it gagged, Hunter raised his leg and kicked it away, sending it flying and crashing into a wall. He took a deep breath and spun his chains once again. This time, he whipped them at an incredible speed and strength that wind began circulating around the end.
'It's over!'
STAB!
The chains flew towards the slave but did not hit it. Instead, they hit the wall right next to its head. Its palm was faced towards Hunter, a sinister frown on its face. Hunter gagged and vomit blood as he slowly looked at his lower region.
[Hunter Quinn!]
He bled from his mouth and began coughing. Upon seeing that the blade of the reaper had pierced his lower stomach, he felt light headed. His vision became distorted, and slowly, his body began swaying from side to side.
He fell on his knees and balanced himself on the wall as he tried to remain conscious. He could hear System Rosana calling out to him, but his hearing was slowly starting to distort as well.
'Seriously...? I'm gonna die here...?' he said to himself as he began blinking slowly. Hunter fell on his face and coughed up more blood, which was slowly starting to choke him.
Suddenly, he felt a familiar touch on his back. A way too familiar touch.
"Are you tired?" the voice of Catherine inquired.
"... A little tired..." Hunter replied hesitantly.
Catherine smiled. "I'm glad... Thanks for everything, Hunter."
Slowly, Hunter began losing consciousness.
Or, so he thought.
