The cloud of Mutated Moths, also known as a cluster of moths, flew towards Hunter. With their 9 eyes, giant wings spanning at about 6 feet, and 4 arms, each with claws, they quickly swiped at Hunter.
Hunter easily evaded the cuts and swiftly cut of one of the Mutated Moth's heads, following with another and another, over and over until he was left with a pile of dead moths around and below him.
Fatigued, Hunter dropped his dagger and dropped to the ground. He began breathing heavily as his eyesight became blurry. This was the first effect of the [Prey Gaze] skill. And, since he had been using it for 15 minutes now, he was at risk of bleeding from his eyes.

"Hey, System Rosana..." Hunter called out. "Can you heal me? I'm not doing too well..."
[Unfortunately, I can only heal you once you've completed your objectives. Once that's done, you'll not only receive complete healing, but your fatigue will be completely cured]
"I can't tell if you're acting stupid or if you genuinely are..."
[Pardon me?]
"I'm already fatigued! Can't you heal me now and then not heal me later?!"
[If you're going to whine like that, you might as well drink from the blood of the Venus Fly Traps. They will provide adequate healing and cure your fatigue all the same]
Hunter simply stared at System Rosana and was unimpressed by the statement it chose to use. But at this point, he had no other option, other than to drink the blood of the Venus Fly Traps.
After reaching into his [Infinite Inventory], he pulled out 3 bottles of the Healing Trap potions. Before he gunned one down, he suddenly had an idea, a light bulb lighting up in his mind.
He conjured up a small fire on his left palm and held the 3 bottles above it with his right hand, allowing them to boil for 5 minutes. They went from a murky dark green colour, to a lime green colour.
[You have upgraded your Healing Trap Bottles to Healing Potions!]
"Nice!" exclaimed Hunter as he put out his flame and opened the first healing potion.
[I see. You simply boiled the poison out of the Healing Trap Bottles and turned them into actual healing potions. I suppose that's one way to boil the hell out of it. It appears that your intelligence has improved as well]
After drinking the third and last healing potion, Hunter sighed in relief and returned the bottles into his [Infinite Inventory]. His fatigue was cured, along with the effects of using the [Prey Gaze]. This allowed him to use it for a longer period of time.
"Alright! Take me to the dungeon master!" Hunter exclaimed as he punched his palm and wore a serious expression.
[Simply go North until you come across a giant nest. The dungeon master rests there. Be careful. There's a reason why there aren't any monsters in the North]
"Of course there aren't. Dungeon masters are incredibly powerful. They're basically the final boss of these places."
And so, Hunter began venturing Northwards in search of the giant nest, where the dungeon master lay rest. As he ventured, he fought monsters of all kinds from Mutant Moths to Giant Grasshoppers, along with the occasional Mutant Mosquito.
One thing that concerned Hunter though was how the number of monsters quickly decreased the further he went North. This was a sign that forest monsters are extremely territorial and they each respected the other prey's home.
But, Hunter knew that the dungeon master would be on a whole different level compared to the monsters he fought earlier. His thought was proven correct when the Sun was suddenly covered up. As he looked up, he saw a giant nest towering above him.
The nest was covered in solid sandstone and a mysterious, sticky material that the dungeon master must be producing itself. Hunter approached the nest and his eyes widened in shock.
His heart began beating faster, forcing him to clench his chest and hold it tighter. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. Afterwards, he released a sigh and managed to maintain his composure.
Opening his eyes, Hunter pulled out his steel dagger and imbued it with his black flames. With as much strength as he could use, he cut the nest vertically, causing it to open and release a slimy substance from the inside.
He quickly backed away and took an attack stance. Suddenly, a large growl came from the inside of the nest. As it did, Hunter could hear the cloud of Mutated Moths screech and fly away from a distance. Hunter swallowed his spit in nervousness and kept a straight face.
From the nest, the dungeon master emerged and roared as loudly as one could imagine, shaking the ground and forcing Hunter to cover his ears. What stood above him was something he hadn't expected to see.
8 long legs, spanning at about 20 feet on either end, sharp claws to accompany them. 8 beady eyes, red in colour, solely focused on the puny human that awoke it. Hair as tall as Hunter himself and a large mouth that could swallow an oil truck with no problems whatsoever.
Razer bladed teeth and fangs oozing a yellow substance; either poison or the goo used to construct its home. The dungeon master was atleast 15 stories tall, easily towering over Hunter.
[Oh, looks like you found a queen]
"A queen?!"
[Diabolic Spider:
- This monster has special fangs that release venom, often used for hunting. They also pack spitting venom from their stomach, which can reach prey at over 100 metres away. The females, also known as the queens, are far larger than the males, making them the alpha and leader of her clutter]
"Correct me if I'm wrong, but I am within 100 metres from her, right?" Hunter said nervously.
[That is correct]
The Diabolic Spider roared and used 4 of her arms to try and stab Hunter. He quickly evaded using [Fast Break] and backed away. The spider continued charging forward and slashing, Hunter dodging every attack.
'If even a drop of venom gets on my skin, I won't be able to quickly recover from it!'
[Activating: Prey Gaze...]
Hunter could now see the heat signature of the Diabolic Spider and quickly evade her attacks. He performed a backflip, dodging an attack from the queen, and swiftly landed behind.
He held his dagger tightly and scrutinized the dungeon master, not taking his eyes off her. Not even for a single second.
'I can see it! Her weak spot!'
The queen began gulping, causing her stomach acid to rise and therefore, her venom. Once it reached the optimum level, she spit it in Hunter's direction. Using [Fast Break], he swiftly evaded and charged in for her.
'Right below her chin. That's where her weak point is!'
Once he was close enough, Hunter jumped towards the queen's neck and boosted his feet with his black flames. Once he got close enough, he managed to stick the dagger into her weak spot.
This caused her to screech and hit Hunter, sending him flying and crashing into a tree. He gasped on impact and fell to the ground. It was only a single hit, but he was in incredible pain and could hardly pick himself up.
'Damnit! It isn't deep enough!'
[That's what she said]
'Not the freaking time, System Rosana!' exclaimed Hunter as he dashed for the queen once again.
This time, he used the skill [Hellhound Chains] and spun it above him. Spikes formed on the chains and he tossed them behind the queen. Even though she was aggravated because of the dagger, she managed to evade the attack quickly.
Hunter, holding the end of the chain, continued running towards the queen. She used her legs to try and step on Hunter, who was now below her body, to no success. Using [Fast Break] once again, Hunter managed to catch the other end of his chains, which cut him as he caught them.
As he bled, his blood was infused with the chains, allowing them to glow and imbue a light blue colour. Unbeknownst to the shining chains, he tossed them on the other side of the queen's legs, repeating the process until her entire body was completely wrapped in chains.
She screeched and tried breaking out of them. But before she was given an opportunity, Hunter grabbed the chains and pulled them, wrapping the dungeon master even tighter. But, this wasn't enough to cause her to fall.
"Come on...! Give it all you've got! You can't lose your strength now!"
The glow on the chains from before grew brighter. As it did, the size of the spikes grew, resembling Hunter's beating heart, and slowly pierced the queen from all directions. As Hunter continued pulling, she slowly fell and shook the earth beneath them.
