The stone cutter appeared particularly cautious, polishing and grinding, fearful of losing that hint of light purple.
Although it's normal for a jadeite raw stone of such size to exhibit false colors, the stone cutter still did not want to see that hint of light purple disappear.
But sometimes the more you fear something, the more likely it is to happen. Despite the stone cutter's gentle movements and extreme care, the hint of light purple still slowly faded, then completely vanished without a trace.
The fact proved that the light purple was indeed false color.
Unlike the first piece of jadeite that Shangguan Hao chose to cut, that piece had no false colors; the green that emerged was the real deal.
If it hadn't been so, it wouldn't have been possible to cut such a massive piece of ice-type jadeite, pushing its value to a peak simply by virtue of its size.
