"Daddy, can Little Ye take the superhero comic book to kindergarten today?"
Just before heading out the door, Little Ye suddenly ran to the bookshelf, pulled out the new "Masked Superhero" book that her mom had bought for her, and clutched it to her chest with a longing look at Ye Fei.
"Of course, you can, but remember to come back and tell daddy the story after you've read it," Ye Fei said gently, stroking his daughter's little head.
"Mmm! Thank you, Daddy, long live Daddy!"
With her father's permission, Little Ye jumped up and down with joy.
The father and daughter then put on their shoes and went downstairs.
But just as they were about to leave the complex, they heard cries of "Careful" and "Help" not far away.
And at another corner of the complex, a crowd of people was gathering.
Ye Fei felt something was amiss and pulled Little Ye along as he ran toward the commotion.
