"Ahhhhhh"
A shaky almost nonexistent sigh escaped lips as I opened the wardrobe.
I had a lot of information about this game from this unpopular blog writer named Verius who claimed to be a beta player.of the game.
According to this verius the game was a very realistic model with medicine for all sorts of things.
I figured that these were probability from the other servers but that wasn't all that was on my mind right now.
There were only two ways to get these medicine, Permission from the fairy of a master or through the hidden market in the tutorial.
I picked a large hoodie and a pair of juggers to cover my small frame.
(Yeah the place came fully furnished and equipped.)
I took to door with great difficulty and the instant I opened the door a fresh breeze entered into the apartment.
It was torture. The feeling of my already covered face interacting with a small part of the wind felt like my face was being seated by a thousand blades.
Gritting my teeth I walked towards the bar displayed on the map on the interface. Turns out we didn't need phones as our interfaces doubled as that.
What was supposed to be a twenty minute walk from were I was felt like hours from the sheer pain that I was feeling but I knew that if I wanted to do anything in this world I would need one of the things sold at the interserver market.
How was I gonna gain money you ask. Easy, sell a couple of spirit art formula.
I didn't waste two hours of infinite mana keeping my spirit art active for nothing. I had learnt a lot of combat and utility techniques which could be transformed into spirit arts with the right ingredients.
*Ping
The sound of a doorbell rang as I walked into the bar.
To my surprise they were already two humans working as bartenders.
All forms of education before coming here was Jack shit and only approval from the system could get you a job so everyone needed to be good at something.
Well I already have a job in mind so that didn't interest me in the slightest.
Walking up to the counter I called up on one of the homunculus created by the system.
"I would like to use the interserver market."
(●__●)
Stunned for a second the homunculus took a while to reply.
"I'm not gonna ask you how you know but there are harsh requir...."
"Two spirit art formulas."
(●__●)
It took a longer while for the bartender to get himself this time as he pulled up a tab before me and asked.
"Would like anything to drink."
I looked up for a moment and told him to give me anything that relaxed my nerves or made me numb.
I might not have showed it but the pain was killing me
In fact that was the reason I came here in the first place.
To find a solution to my pain problem.
A while later the bartender came back. He handed me a glass of some green sparkling liquid while he started up a conversation.
" Tears of medusa. A cocktail famous in see 23 for being able to completely petrify ones feeling and emotions, although it sometimes affects responsiveness all in all its a great drink."
:-|
"You know I have quite a few paid connections you could use."
The moment he said that I was tempted to stop what I was doing and smirk but I held myself back.
'gotcha'
"Oh, could I help them complete missions or that kind of stuff."
It had to be well noted that only the average Joe in the society didn't know that the world was being gamified.
Anyone with connections must have been informed beforehand.
(And the chaos that was supposed to arise from being thrown in a strange situation was quelled in their blank states before they were even thrown into their new bodies.)
I had heard from varius's page that you could access some sort of underworld through this bar that appeared in the tutorial world.
"There are but for that you have to join our organisation."
・o・
"Is there any requirements."
I asked. It would be nice to make some easy cash and connections but I didn't want to be tied down too much.
"So long you pass the entrance test you don't need to do much. You can use our name when the situation arises and you don't have to worry about not doing jobs. But the only way to get paid is exactly by doing jobs."
The bartender whose name tag read B84 explained in a stern unhurried manner but I could swear it had this kind of gang feel.
0." I said as I finished writing the formula and took a sip of my drink.
B84 looked at the results of the system appraisal before shock overwhelmed him.
" It hasn't even been a day."
A slight chuckle escaped his lip before he said this.
Get this, spirit arts are ranked three to nine stars based on their effectiveness and what I just presented were two 5 star spirit arts.
Reflux and shock.
"... So, you in?"
After a long time he seemed to have realised my talents as he asked if I would join his organisation in a calm tone.
He might have been calm but I could see it. His desperation to get me. His greedy eyes that begged for my approval.
With a short smirk I replied.
"I'll think about it after shopping."
With that he gave a slight nod before presenting me some sort of stone stele.
Pressing my hand against it stele, I felt my conscioucness slip.
It might not have been a wise idea to do that normally but this bar had a strict policy if protecting their high level customers and having sold two spirit arts my position as VIP was set.
After registering with an allias "ungrateful bastard." Yeah it was cheesy and all but. That's who I am.
First things first I looked at my inbox and sure enough an unknown sender had transferred 6 000 000 silver to my account
Seeing that a five star spirit art actually cost 4.5 million I could see that whatever the organisation these homunculus belonged to. They wanted me.
The best thing about the interserver market was that it worked like in the blank space were items appear according to my needs and the first batch of things I saw was a cigarette called viper.
It was a side product made by dragons breathe. A brand that produce this cover that gives rise to melatonin levels and help one think straight while viper was a side product to dull senses and escape pain.
I bought like twenty packs of them before I started looking for a weapon. The weapon I knew the most about was a sword.
I had spent like 60 percent of my time in the black place learning about the best ways to utilize the concepts of the sword.
I searched for a long while before seeing a sword called the plain sword. It was a katana with no design of modifications. It was just a katana made with materials without many special properties.
But, it was the katana for me. I could modify it however I wanted for combat without risking drop in integrity due to conflicting concepts.
I instantly bought it along with a silver watch. I was going to do crazy things with these.
