Riyan stood at the center of the room, feeling the heavy air thick with tension, jealousy, and barely contained emotions.
His chest tightened, but he forced a steady breath. Now wasn't the time to let personal matters cloud his judgment. His friends and companions—all of whom had their own possessive feelings toward him—needed to focus on something far more critical than their emotions. The fate of Fers Domain, and quite possibly the world, hung in the balance. It was up to him to remind them of that.
He straightened his posture, letting authority and command seep into every inch of his stance. His next words were sharp, cutting through the charged atmosphere like a knife.
