Log is always a sort of necessities. Some well-split ones would be turned into book-fixing items, or carve it slightly and make it a pendant. The rest will work as firewood, which have to be in the role of heating. Though the winter hasn't arrived yet, the coldness of late autumn is here right now. So it would be better to have more stuff burned to get heat.
