Synopsis
A fantasy story of a boy named William in search of something that could help him, overcoming the curse he unknowingly invited upon himself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In the center of a vast city stands a towering building that nearly scrapes the sky: the Tower of Babylon. A marvel of humanity, this tower was constructed using nothing but science and primitive tools. Though credit for its creation is largely attributed to an unknown architect, that very architect can be found not within the tower itself, but rather in the alley behind it. In this alley, a young man can be seen rummaging through trash cans in search of food. "One advantage of being near a big building is that there's always some good food here," he chuckled to himself. Despite his unkempt appearance—long, dirty hair, a scraggly beard, and a face smeared with dirt—his striking blue eyes remain his most prominent feature. Maxwell, as he's known, glanced up at the towering structure of the Tower of Babylon and muttered, "Who could even believe that I designed this building?" With a sigh, he began to eat the meager meal he had scavenged for the day. Suddenly, a black portal materialized before him, prompting Maxwell to eye it suspiciously. "Rich folk sure have weird tastes, mixing drugs into food," he mumbled as he discarded his meal and resumed his search. Unbeknownst to Maxwell, a young girl briefly emerged from the portal before it vanished, snapping her fingers in his direction. Oblivious to this, Maxwell continued his search, only to look up in shock as trucks began to rain down from the sky around him. "Now, trucks are raining from the sky!" he exclaimed in frustration, his voice echoing through the alley.

Chapter 1 - Prologue I

On the streets of Manhattan, a school bus could be seen, with the sound of students singing emanating from within.

Williams gazed at the scenery outside while the others sang along. Suddenly, a big guy smacked William's head, causing his face to hit the window.

Rubbing his nose, William turned to face the bully of their class. "What do you need, Mr. Forever Virgin?" he asked.

The bus fell silent as the driver glanced back, not hearing the song, then shrugged and focused on driving. The students looked at James and then at William.

"Oh boy," one of them muttered, and James made a big fist, aiming for William's face.

William calmly dodged the blow and delivered an uppercut, causing James to bleed. He then stood up, grabbed James by the collar, and punched him repeatedly.

"Don't..." William said with each punch. "Ever..." Another punch. "Mess..." Another. "With..." And one more. "Me..."

Releasing James, who now nodded with tears and blood staining his face, William quietly returned to his seat and resumed looking outside.

"Idiot."

"William is the national boxing champion."

"Well, someone wanted to take the crown of king."

Others mocked James, who gritted his teeth but didn't retort, calmly returning to his seat.

"We're here," the driver announced, and the students began to disembark from the bus.

Outside, William reunited with his friends, who had arrived on another bus.

"You didn't create a scene, did you?" Emily asked, noticing the blood marks on William's hand.

"I didn't," William shook his head.

"Yeah, you didn't, but he did," Harry laughed, pointing at James, who glared in their direction.

"What's his deal?" William asked.

"He just started boxing, but whenever he flexes, someone always speaks of you. So he's jealous of you," Harry explained, and Emily shook her head.

"Let's start our boring tour," William nodded, then pointed at the museum.

It was a white building with a large sign saying 'The Metropolitan Museum of Art'.

The teacher accompanying them led them inside. Initially, it was beautiful, then it became interesting, but soon it grew boring as the teacher launched into yet another long-winded speech.

"he is either blind or experienced enough" William looked at the Teacher who ignored students snoring and sleepy look.

Harry and Emily nodded while Emily added "it's definitely the later"

Harry and William smiled hearing her.

"Come here~"

William looked back , and frowned.

"Com Here~"

William looked around, his brow furrowing in confusion. "Did you guys hear that?" he asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.

"Heard what?" Harry responded, exchanging puzzled glances with Emily.

"William, are you alright?" Emily inquired, her concern evident in her voice as she reached out to grab his hands.

"Come here~"

"Don't tell me you guys aren't hearing that?" William insisted, a note of urgency creeping into his tone.

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked, turning his attention back to William and scanning their surroundings for any signs of what William was hearing.

"COME HERE~"

"what is it?" William yelled.

Everyone looked at him and Harry said " he is feeling unwell teacher?"

"Take him outside for a breather then" Teacher replied and continued with his speech.

Harry nodded and then Emily and he grabbed one hand of William each and started dragging him outside.

"you are now scaring me buddy" Harry said.

"Go there" William didn't mind him and said.

Harry grunted but eventually they followed William direction, as they transverse the Museum they reached an restricted section.

"We can't go there" Emily said in hush voice.

"Believe me someone's there calling me" William said and then he started walking towards the restricted section.

His friends looked at each other and then sighing they followed him.

William looked around seeing no one there, he hurriedly went inside the room.

Entering inside they found a big dust filled room.

"Probably storage" Harry commented while shielding his poor nose with his handkerchief.

Emily nodded as she too shielded her Nose, while William looked around trying to find the source of that voice.

"COME HERE~"

Once again, William heard the mysterious voice and followed it,

"It's coming from here," William announced, his eyes fixed on a massive piece of wall.

Harry and Emily exchanged skeptical glances. "It's probably some useless wall," Harry remarked.

"Or from an ancient ruin," Emily added, eyeing the wall piece with disinterest.

Although the wall piece bore many marks indicative of the passage of time, including black rot and other signs of decay, William's focus remained on a particular point on the wall.

As William aimed the spearhead at the wall, the sound of scraping stone filled the air, accompanied by small chunks of debris falling to the ground.

Scrape, scrape, scrape...

Harry and Emily exchanged concerned glances, worried that someone might hear the noise and come investigate. "William, we should really get out of here before someone sees us," Emily whispered urgently.

But William was too focused on the task at hand, ignoring his friends' warnings. He continued chipping away at the wall, determined to uncover the source of the mysterious sound.

Tap, tap, tap...

Suddenly, after a few more strikes, the spearhead hit something solid. William's eyes widened in surprise as he brushed away the remaining debris, revealing a perfectly preserved golden ring nestled within the wall.

Gasp!

"the fuck is going on here!, Don't tell me you are son of some God!" Harry exclaimed seeing the glowing ring.

As Harry exclaimed, William's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What do you mean? It's just a ring," he replied, shaking his head. Despite being an otaku himself, he found his friends' reactions a bit over-the-top.

Emily, taking several steps back, eyed the ring warily. "William, you're not possessed, right?" she asked cautiously, her voice tinged with concern.

The trio was known for their eccentricities, with Emily being dubbed the "Ghost Girl" due to her obsession with the paranormal, Harry nicknamed the "Protagonist" for his tendency to attract unusual situations, and William known as the "Otaku" for his love of anime and manga.

"I am going to wear it," William declared, and his friends drew closer, Emily clutching a broken piece of wood and Harry wielding an old, rusty shield.

"What are you two doing?" William asked, perplexed by their actions.

"Insurance," they both replied simultaneously.

Shaking his head, William inwardly shared their concern but took a deep breath and slipped the golden ring onto his finger.

As William wore the ring, he closed his eyes..and....and.....and...

"Nothings happening," Harry's voice broke the silence, and William eyed the ring suspiciously.

"What a bummer," William sighed, attempting to remove the ring.

To his surprise, the ring didn't budge at all. "Huh?" William exclaimed in frustration as he struggled with the stubborn accessory.

"Let me try," Harry offered, reaching for the ring.

"Ahh, ahhh, stop it, you are pulling my finger off!" William cried out, halting Harry's attempt.

"You are now possessed," Emily chimed in, her voice tinged with mock seriousness.

"Yeah, yeah, at least one of us is enjoying it," William remarked, his tone light despite the situation. He then handed broken spear heads to his friends.

"Let's dig in, we might find more things," William suggested, his friends now curious about this seemingly rotten rock wall, started scraping it too.

Excitedly, William and his friends continued to chip away at the wall, piece by piece, until it collapsed in a cloud of dust. As the dust settled, they were astonished to uncover a white skeleton lying amidst the rubble. What caught their attention even more were the ten rings adorning each of its bony fingers.

"Whoa, what is this?" Emily exclaimed, her eyes wide with disbelief.

"It's like something out of a fantasy story," Harry added, staring at the skeleton in awe.

William approached the skeleton cautiously, examining the rings with fascination. "These rings... They must be important," he muttered, his mind racing with possibilities.

Without hesitation, William reached out and carefully removed one of the rings from the skeleton's finger. As he did, a faint glow emanated from the ring, causing his friends to gasp in amazement.

"What just happened?" Emily asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I... I'm not sure," William replied, his heart pounding with excitement. "But I think we just stumbled upon something incredible."

As William spoke, a sudden surge of energy seemed to emanate from the golden ring on his finger. His hand was forcefully lifted, and the ten rings he had just acquired began to orbit around him in a mesmerizing dance. The air crackled with magic as the rings whirled faster and faster, their movements synchronized in a mesmerizing display.

The sound effects of the swirling rings filled the air, a symphony of chimes and hums blending together in an otherworldly melody. Each movement seemed to echo with power, sending shivers down their spines.

Then, as if guided by an unseen force, the rings began to converge toward the golden ring on William's finger. With a burst of blinding light, they merged together, transforming into shimmering stones of various colors.

The stones attached themselves to the golden ring, encrusting it with a dazzling array of hues. Each stone pulsed with its own unique energy, casting a radiant glow that illuminated the alley with an ethereal light.

Emily gasped in awe, her breath catching in her throat. "What... What just happened?" she whispered, her voice barely audible over the thrum of energy in the air.

Harry's eyes widened in disbelief. "I... I've never seen anything like this," he stammered, his voice tinged with excitement and uncertainty.
