Though Kate couldn't say a word, she pretty much heard what was going on around her. The king stood over her as the paramedics tried to raise her up, his deadly stare arrested Alpha Gary. People took up their phones to record the moment between these two angry Alphas.
"You've seen what you've caused right?" Casmien growled at him, throwing dagger stares at him like he's gonna kill kim. Everyone watched what's going to happen. Besides, he was so angry that whatever decision he's going to take wouldn't please people's eyes.
"Guards!" He growled. Within a second, his personal bodyguards who were each dressed in black suits with a gun tucked to their trousers emerged, bowing before the king.
"You call security for me?" Gary smirked. Casmien's eyes blinked repeatedly, a sign he shows whenever he's extremely angry. He jumped down from the podium and gave Gary a hard blow which sent him tumbling on the floor.
"Ahhh!" Everyone gasped. Everyone knew the king to be rude, aloof and strict but no one had ever seen him come physical with someone before. It was a surprise, even his bodyguards looked at him this way. Gary, who was pissed off, stood up wildly to avenge the blow when the king's bodyguards stepped in, standing in front of the king so he couldn't reach him.
Casmien clapped his hand, turning back to walk to the podium. "Grant him the dearest torture of his life for daring to stand up against me, the Alpha King."
As he arrived on stage, his interest cascaded on Kate. Bella had galloped from her seat to where she laid, with tears in her eyes. Everyone was more concerned with the King's reaction to Gary's claim of her being pregnant than anything else. Everyone looked forward to this.
"What will you do now he's said she's pregnant for him?" Casmien's personal assistant stepped closer by his side and whispered into his ears. He stood for a while, not saying anything.
"Hmm," he just sighed. "Nothing!" He added and walked up to his mate's side, squatting on the ground and feeling her forehead. His anger rose seeing she was made to drop low by Gary.
"After he dared to take another mate when he was strictly forbidden, I hope I'll not be committing a crime taking the woman he impregnated?" He said to everyone but in fact he was making his own judgment.
"My birthday continues with or without the special guest!" He said and stood up with a cold face which sent shivers down people's spine.
Casmien gave signals to the organizers of the event to continue with the music and other events which were scheduled to take place, he was out to go watch how his men were dealing with Alpha Gary. Close to the courtyard by the water fountain, he heard loud groans, painful hits, Gary shouting and screaming in pain.
"I must surely see blood!" He said to himself. As he approached his lips parted into a sinister grin as he watched his rival bleeding from the nose and the side of his face, his body was covered in bruises which had blood streaming over. Alpha Gary raised his head and met his gaze, here which he grinned even more.
He walked closer to Gary who was kneeling on the green grass while being tortured. "That's what happens when an idiot stands up to the Alpha King. Next time you won't dare stand up to me."
Alpha Gary was about to retaliate in words but he got too weak, as he lifted his body he fell face to the ground, panting so hard.
"Continue, if possible kill him!" The king threatened, making Gary want to beg. He held his hands in the air in surrender. King Casmirn turned slowly, bursting into a loud laughter.
"Ple-eas-se!" He murmured. Even though his voice wasn't so audible, the king heard it and he couldn't stop laughing.
"I never knew someone as proud as you could be submissive!" His mood changed so quickly after he delivered this response. His eyes turned darker and his chest was clenched, even getting angrier.
"Beat him for the next one hour and lock him up in his room for the next few hours of the day." With this, he walked briskly away. Everyone was thinking if he truly loved Kate for asking the birthday party to continue. While these people looked for him in the hall after he left, he took the direct hallway to the clinic which was the supposed he thought Kate would be taken to.
Fifteen minutes later before he arrived, she was back to consciousness but her heart couldn't just condone what Gary did to her.
"How can I just get pregnant after all these while?" She wondered as she spoke to herself, then her eyes met with Casmien who was here. Her wolf got tense, even her veins clenched. King Casmien stood a few meters from her, placing his hands in his pockets.
The paramedics stepped aside in fear, bowing their heads. There was none who didn't revere the king, no one wanted his punishment.
"What happened to her?" His tone was harsh and cold, his eyes cold and drained in anger. It was so obvious.
"She went on an anxiety attack. She's fine now!" The head of the paramedics team who were present in the pack and this birthday responded with a sort of panicky voice. King Casmien gestured on them to leave.
As they were turning to go, a concern came up in his mind.
"Where's Bella?" He asked, folding his arms.
"She's out to pick some snacks for me and some energy drinks," Kate volunteered to speak.
"I wasn't asking you!" Casmien waited for her to finish speaking before he growled at her, making her shiver in fear. Casmien urged the paramedics once again to leave before turning to Kate.
