Chapter 8 - Sunder F*cks

When I call upon the Dimensional Sunderer Blade, its arrival begins with a low, resonant hum that seems to echo from another dimension, building in intensity as the blade traverses the cosmos to reach me.

It's a haunting melodious sound that reverberates across the fabric of the universe.

Everyone turns their heads to the sky as the blade enters the atmosphere above my planet. It now shimmers with hues of amethyst and the ground trembles slightly as the blade phases through the Crimson Sky barrier as though it was a hand slowly surfacing from water.

Its raw power causes ripples in the protective dome's advanced magic and technology. The entire atmosphere is charged with a palpable energy, and it feels as if the world is holding its breath as the blade makes its grand entrance.

When the blade descended, its hum intensified, becoming a deep, resonant tone that reverberated through the air and even the soldiers were affected. Their mana shields could not stop the vibrations from bypassing their defenses.

This sound resonated through every fiber of my being. The ground shakes beneath the weight of its arrival as it floated, a testament to the immense power as it draws closer to me.

The blade's hum softens into a frequency that resonates with my very soul. I could understand its purpose and will to be my weapon.

This entrance is a display of the blade's immense power and also an affirmation of the deep bond between me and the blade.

'You will be called Sunder from now on,' I communicate to the Blade with my thoughts. A sweet ringing sounded within my mind. It accepted the name I'd given it.

The enemy soldiers of House Andu stared in shock and awe as the Dimensional Sunderer Blade pierced through the skies above, its amethyst-hued energy cutting through the atmosphere like a scorching star.

Seeing this scene alone left them speechless, unable to tear their eyes away from the light show that heralded Sunder's arrival.

The soldiers had a look of dread wash over them as I reached out and gripped the hilt of Sunder.

Sunder's power was enough to make even the veteran of these soldiers hesitate, their faces filled with uncertainty and fear.

"What the f*ck is that?!" a woman shouted, her face twisted in a mix of incredulity.

"Are you kidding me? He has a sword of the space element!" another soldier exclaimed. It was a man holding a silver-carbon alloy weapon, its edge glowing blue as he looked onward at the blade I'm holding.

"The hell is going on? That damn sword could rip us apart just from standing too close!"

"This is bad, really f*cking bad," one muttered, gripping her weapon tighter as she was closest to me.

House Andu soldiers exchanged wary glances, their once-confident expressions now replaced with genuine trepidation.

They knew they were facing a person who they previously thought would be a piece of cake.

But, I turned out to be an immensely dangerous adversary, capable of cross-rank combatant. And now the atmosphere was thick with tension.

Before I began the battle, I addressed my awestruck subjects and yelled at them, "Fall back! I'll be taking on this fight now!" My commanding voice left no room for hesitation.

"B-but, Your Highness, it is…" a military field commander began, but their voice tapered off into silence with their head down as I turn my helmeted head in their direction.

'Bro, just shut the f*ck up and let me look cool,' I think to myself, rolling my eyes.

"AHHHHH"

The first enemy to face me was a woman. She charged at me with fierce determination, wielding a spear and launching energy blasts at me from its tip.

She fought fiercely, her attacks coming with speed and precision. I met her with equal intensity, deflecting her blows with the blade and countering with powerful strikes of my own.

I'll be quite honest and say she is quite skilled, her movements agile and unpredictable. But I could see the fear in her eyes as she realized the full extent of my armor's power. Despite her best efforts, she couldn't match the added strength given to me by Sunder.

In one swift, decisive move, I parried her attacks and struck her back with a kick to her abdomen. My blade sliced through her defenses, cutting her body in half at the waist.

Her scream echoed across the battlefield for a split second before her body fell to the ground in two pieces.

Seeing this made me want to hurl out all the contents in my stomach. Never had I seen anything like this.

Though, I did watch videos of the 21st Century video game, Mortal Kombat. However, that's just video game and my brain kept a barrier between it And reality.

I am in reality now and have no fail safe to fall back on. This scene was caused by me.

The woman's split body left blood spilling out. Her entrails were also cut in half, leaving the intestinal organs and their tubes open to the world.

To make matters worse, the woman did not die immediately. She continued to open and close her mouth and stare down at her other half with disbelief and pain.

'I can't feel sorry for them. She would've done the same to me,' I silently console myself.

It was hard to accept this reality as I lived in a rather peaceful era. Hardly anyone knew brutal deaths except in movies and shows.

Sounds of booted feet hitting the ground knocked me out of my thoughts as three soldiers charged at me, their eyes alight with fury.

They had just watched me slice through their comrade with a swift and deadly strike. Now, they wanted revenge.

"You bastard!" one of them screamed, her face twisted with rage. "You're gonna kill you!"

Their weapons blazed with vibrant mana as they converged on me, each of them attacking with the ferocity of a cornered beast. I met them head-on, swinging Sunder with precise strikes.

Me being able to keep up and fight with these soldiers is all thanks to Terra's memories that were filed integrated within myself.

Though, most not affected by his emotional attachments, I do have all of his fighting experience at my disposal. Right now, my body is fighting on autopilot. It reacts on its own.

Sunder cuts through the air while I activate Dimensional Echo and unleash three additional swings of razor-sharp energy blades, which slices through the air in their direct paths.

My opponents struggled to block the onslaught with their own man's energy attacks, their expressions shifting from anger to shock.

"He's a demon!" another soldier shouted, barely managing to nullify my strike. His blade looked like it was on the verge of cracking apart.

But I was just getting started. I then activate Chrono-Phantom Strike, to which ghostly echoes of myself appeared around the battlefield, each wielding an energy blade like mine.

The phantoms darted and struck from every angle, overwhelming my opponents with a dizzying flurry of precise attacks. Almost like robots.

The three soldiers fought with all their might, but they were outmatched and outclassed. My blade's power and the phantoms' relentless assault left them reeling, their defenses crumbling under the weight of my strikes.

"Sh*t, I can't hold on much longer. My weapon is almost shattered," a man says between gasping breathes.

"I don't care! We must avenge Qery. She was our friend," the woman who called me a bastard replies, her eyes held a crazed glint.

One by one, they fell to my blade, unable to withstand the onslaught. The clash of weapons and the bursts of energy filled the air, creating a spectacle of battle that echoed across the battlefield.

My movements were a blur of precision and skill, each swing of Sunder leaving behind a trail of energy.

As the last of the three enemies crumbled before me, the battle's intensity hung in the air like a charged storm. The woman had her arm sliced at the elbow and a sword thrust through her heart.

One soldier had hundreds of cuts along his entire body, he had a leg chopped off at the thigh. And his head had a hole in it from Sunder's hilt being jammed onto it.

The last guy wasn't much better than his comrade. However, with the conditions met, I had triggered the effect of Dimensional Absorption and completely erased him from existence.

The battlefield fell silent as the echoes of my final strike faded away. The enemies, who moments before had charged at me with ferocity, now stood back, their faces pale and eyes wide with fear at having seen the ridiculous power I had displayed.

Witnessing the raw power of Sunder and the skills I'd displayed left them no choice but to surrender.

One of the soldiers dropped to their knees, hands up in submission. "We surrender. No more fighting," he said, his voice shaky.

The others followed suit, some throwing down their weapons, others taking a step back. Their defiance had crumbled under the weight of my onslaught, and they knew their only option was surrender or die.

I gave them a hard look, making it clear that any further resistance would be their last mistake.

"You've made the right choice," I said firmly, though my tone lacked any sense of triumph. "But don't think I won't follow through if you act out of line."

As I stood among the defeated, I activated my communicator and contacted Zara. "Zara, I've dealt with the enemy opposition, but I need you to send Z-gene inhibitors to my location immediately. These enemies can't be trusted. Also, bring a Level 6 prisoner ship. We'll need it to transport them."

"Understood, Brother," Zara's voice crackled through the communicator. "I'm on it. I'll have the inhibitors and ship to you right away."

I turned back to the enemy soldiers, keeping a watchful eye on them while waiting for Zara's response.

The tension in the air was a bit much, but I was resolute in my decision to spare their lives. There had been enough bloodshed already, and I hoped this surrender would mark the end of the battle. They're just soldiers following orders.

The aftermath of my clash with the soldiers was a haunting sight. Buildings lay in ruins, some reduced to piles of rubble while others stood precariously, their walls scorched and windows shattered.

Craters marred the ground, evidence of powerful energy blasts that had left the cityscape scarred and altered.

Streets were littered with debris and remnants of destroyed vehicles, while the eerie silence starkly contrasted with the fierce battle that had just taken place.

As I surveyed the scene, my armor's systems scanned for any lingering threats. Nothing had come up on the sensors so I decided to contacted Zara. I wanted to update her on the situation. Her voice crackled through my communicator.

"Terra, you're all right," Zara asked, her usual calm demeanor slightly shaken by worry.

"I'm fine, Zara," I reassured her as I felt the adrenaline rush slowly ebb from my body. "The battle was intense, but I managed to handle it. The enemies have been taken care of, and the prisoners have been transported out."

"Good. You did well protecting our people," Zara said, her voice steadying. "I'm just glad you're safe. Let me know if you need any support from here."

"Thank you, Zara. I appreciate it. I'll keep you posted," I replied, grateful for her support and quick response. I ended the conversation, but I couldn't shake the weight of what lay ahead.

The battle might've been won, but the fight against that damned Traitor was far from over.

Therefore, I set my focus on the next phase of the battle with renewed vigor, knowing that every second counted down to the inevitable time when the Traitor would use a demon's crystal.

With a deep breath, I reached out to my armor's advanced navigation systems, quickly accessing the map and scans that shows the highest energy signatures.

'Ha, Terre is pretty good. He's fighting near the Kirenti Mountains. He's minimizing the collateral damage the city would take. With the power to destroy state-sized lands, that's the best place to fight.'

The sky darkened as I took flight, the armor's powerful propulsion systems propelled me at incredible speed toward my destination.

My journey to the mountains was swift, the world blurring around me as I raced against time.

As I approached nearer to the fight scene, the distant sounds of clashing weapons, flesh hitting against flesh, and bursts of energy became audible.

I tightened my grip on Sunder, preparing myself for the final, decisive encounter that would determine the fate of Supremea.

'Alright, assh*le. It's about..

Time for you to die."
