Chapter 119 - Chapter 119: Plane Crash

TPC Director Zeig quickly approved Soga's proposal, dispatching the Victory Team to search for the missing exploration team.

At that moment, news of Daigo and Rena's return also came in.

Over the phone, Daigo and Rena mentioned they were passing by the seaside and decided to check in at the base.

Hearing this news, everyone made the same decision.

That was to conceal the fact that Captain Asuka was missing, so as not to worry Daigo and Rena.

The couple had finally gotten a vacation to go on their honeymoon, and Daigo, being Ultraman Tiga, had fought enough for Earth, battling monsters and aliens in person. Everyone did not want to drag Daigo back into battle.

They just wanted Daigo to rest well.

"If it's convenient, you can let me go now." Seeing the team had made this decision, Chen Yu spoke up, "I plan to go to R'lyeh first and neutralize the threat there in advance."

"You?" The Victory Team members looked at Chen Yu, "You mean, you can resolve the crisis originating from R'lyeh?"

"Perhaps." Chen Yu replied, "I came back from the future to deal with the events unfolding in R'lyeh."

Soga and the others fell into thought.

This self-proclaimed man from the future, Chen Yu, seemed to possess some special abilities, at least the ability to suddenly appear in the Victory Team's hall, indicating he was no ordinary person.

"You may go to R'lyeh, but you must come with us."

In the end, Soga made a decision and said to Chen Yu.

"Alright." Chen Yu shrugged, "There's still some time anyway."

"I'll arrange a room for you to rest in," Soga continued, "Wait for us there, and we'll leave shortly."

"Okay."

Chen Yu agreed to Soga's request.

The room arrangement was likely a precaution to prevent him from leaving unannounced.

For the Victory Team members, Chen Yu was indeed a valuable source of information.

Having verified the disappearance of Asuka, the Victory Team members had already half-believed Chen Yu.

After meeting Daigo and returning, Soga instructed Kurei, Shinjo, including himself, to pilot Victory Falcon II towards the R'lyeh ruins, with Chen Yu also aboard.

Looking at the three men sitting, Chen Yu quipped:

"Couldn't you have arranged a seat for me too?"

"Sorry, Victory Falcon II only has three seats. With you onboard, someone would have to squat beside," Soga replied, "Besides, you can't pilot a plane."

"Who says I can't?" Chen Yu approached Shinjo and said, "Let me show you, make room."

Having learned to pilot various vehicles in the Land of Light, Chen Yu could now even operate an excavator.

"You know how to fly?" Shinjo was doubtful, "But now isn't the time to let you fly; Victory Falcon is safest in my hands."

As Shinjo finished his statement, an alarm blared from Victory Falcon II.

"Bad news, we're hit by a strong magnetic field, Victory Falcon II's operating system has malfunctioned!"

Kurei exclaimed, staring at the screen.

Chen Yu: "..."

Was Shinjo's mouth jinxed or what?

Talk about a plane crash, and here it comes?

"Jump now!"

Soga was the first to pull the emergency parachute lever, ejecting through the roof.

Shinjo and Kurei followed suit.

Chen Yu, feeling the rush of wind from the open roof, was momentarily confused:

"Did you forget someone?"

As Victory Falcon II was about to plunge into the sea, the alarm ceased after a certain distance.

Seeing this, Chen Yu quickly closed the roof and took the pilot's seat, starting to maneuver the plane.

The three parachuting men suddenly realized something and widened their eyes looking at the falling Victory Falcon II.

Chen Yu was still inside the plane, and there were no emergency parachutes left!

"Did we just kill him?" Shinjo said guiltily.

"What do you think?" Kurei responded, "Falling from this height into the sea is almost certain death."

"It's my fault," Soga sighed, "I hope he survives."

As they were blaming themselves, they noticed Victory Falcon II gradually stopped its descent and began to ascend slowly.

Shinjo's eyes widened in shock at the scene, exclaiming, "He really knows how to fly a fighter jet!"

"Could he be the future successor of the Victory Team?" Soga speculated, "Is that why he can pilot Victory Falcon II?"

"That's a possibility," Kurei nodded, then added, "We might also want to worry about ourselves."

"What's wrong?"

"We're over the open sea, there might be sharks below."

"..."

Unable to land on the sea, Chen Yu piloted the aircraft to R'lyeh.

Then, he released his space vessel from storage and flew back to pick up Soga and the others.

As the three floated in the sea, seeing the hovering spacecraft above, they became wary.

However, the door of the spacecraft opened, and Chen Yu stuck his head out, saying, "I'll drop a rope ladder; climb up."

After saying that, Chen Yu lowered the prepared rope ladder to the sea surface.

The three exchanged looks and chose to board Chen Yu's spacecraft.

After all, floating at sea wasn't an option.

The spacecraft raised further questions for the three, wondering if the future Victory Team had such advanced technology.

Could they be exploring the solar system, the galaxy, or even further reaches of the universe by now?

Thinking about this was futile at the moment. Seeing the three drenched, Chen Yu directed them to the bathroom.

There was a hairdryer prepared by Chen Yu.

If their clothes couldn't be dried, Chen Yu had spare casual wear, though he wasn't sure if they'd be willing to wear it.

After finding their clothes thoroughly soaked, Soga and the others opted for the casual wear.

After all, they couldn't fight drenched, could they?

"What about Victory Falcon II?"

Curious about the ship, Soga first inquired about the fate of Victory Falcon II.

"I've piloted it to R'lyeh," Chen Yu replied, "It landed safely."

"That's good to hear," Shinjo breathed a sigh of relief, "I didn't want to have to repair the plane upon returning."

Shinjo typically had to repair the fighter jet after a crash.

"It's all your fault, your mouth must be blessed or cursed," Kurei said to Shinjo, "Next time you fly, please keep your mouth shut!"

"Let's head to R'lyeh now," Chen Yu said, "If you have any questions on the way, feel free to ask."
