Chapter 99 - Chapter 99: Trying the Converter

Golden light particles entered the body of the Mirror Knight, and in a visible manner, the knight's body regained its color.

The crimson eyes also emitted a dark red mist that dissipated into the air.

Seeing that the Mirror Knight had largely returned to normal, Chen Yu then ceased his actions.

It must be said, this purifying beam of light indeed consumed a great deal of energy, as it used the pure light energy within the body and required a long period of emission.

That he could persist for so long, Chen Yu felt quite satisfied.

The timer on his chest began to flash, and Chen Yu, along with the Mirror Knight, returned to the ocean's ripple-like surface and reverted from his transformed state.

Mirror Knight looked down at Chen Yu and then said, "Thank you for your light, for it has restored me to my original form."

"Mirror Knight…" Princess Emirana turned to the Mirror Knight, concerned, and asked, "Are you alright?"

"I'm fine." The Mirror Knight nodded, "Thanks to him."

"Thank you!"

The Mirror Knight once again expressed his gratitude to Chen Yu.

Princess Emirana also repeatedly thanked Chen Yu, amazed that he possessed such ability to restore the Mirror Knight to his original form.

"No need to thank me, it was nothing." Chen Yu modestly said, "Anyway, let's not forget our mission."

"I understand." At this moment, the Snow Mirror said, "The Shield of Parajium is in the underground temple, follow the river upstream!"

With nods of agreement, they prepared to set off.

The Mirror Knight lent a hand, directly transporting everyone into the underground temple.

Due to Chen Yu's interference, the original plot's Belial Mech Troops did not pursue them to Mirror Planet, making the current timeline much earlier than the original story.

The group observed their surroundings, and though this was the passage of the underground palace, reflections of light sparkled everywhere from mirrors.

Soon, they found the underground river and followed it upstream.

The journey was smooth, for the river could hardly be called a river. In Chen Yu's words, it might be referred to as a stream or an underwater trench…

It was even smaller than a rural irrigation channel.

Following the river upstream, they quickly arrived at the main hall of the underground palace.

This hall indeed appeared ancient, half-buried in yellow soil.

Without hesitation, Chen Yu entered the temple.

Upon stepping into this mysterious palace, Xiao Zhi exclaimed at the sight of a giant stone statue ahead, "Look, it's a statue! The statue of the Shield of Parajium!"

Everyone hurried forward and indeed saw a giant stone shield held by a titan statue.

"This giant statue… is the legendary Noah!"

Princess Emirana, knowledgeable and worldly, identified the statue's identity at once.

"Eh? When I transformed into Ultraman just now, did you recognize me as a being similar to Noah?"

Curious, Chen Yu asked Princess Emirana.

"At that moment, I was too shocked by your radiance to think much about it," Princess Emirana said with a smile, "But, is Noah also a Giant of Light?"

"Exactly." Chen Yu nodded, "He is not only a legendary figure in your hearts but also a very mysterious Ultraman among the Giants of Light!"

"Mystery and legend, it seems Noah must be very powerful!" Lan also joined the conversation.

"Indeed, very powerful." Chen Yu thought for a moment and made a comparison, "For example, even if Belial absorbed all the energy from the Emiralium ore, Noah could still easily annihilate him."

"What are we waiting for then?" Xiao Zhi, full of enthusiasm, took out the Parajium Stone and approached the Shield of Parajium, "Just by placing this stone in, Noah will be revived and save us, right?"

"No." Chen Yu stopped Xiao Zhi, "If you place it now, the Shield of Parajium will just shatter on the spot."

"What should we do then?" Since Chen Yu was also a Giant of Light, Xiao Zhi had no choice but to believe what he said.

"Let's try this: why don't you see who can awaken Noah? Or perhaps, become one with Noah!"

Saying so, Chen Yu took out a device from his storage space.

The Light Genetic Converter!

This was something he got from Keigo Masaki.

Inserting the Light Rod into the Light Genetic Converter, Chen Yu said, "Who wants to try first to see if you can transform your body into light and enter the statue?"

"Transform our bodies into light? And then enter the statue?" Princess Emirana asked, "Is this using our own power to revive Noah?"

"You could say that."

Chen Yu nodded.

"Then, I'll give it a try!"

Lan stepped forward, following Chen Yu's instructions, and stood on the Light Genetic Converter.

"Place your hands near those two metal surfaces, and when the electric current touches your palms, it should be successful."

Chen Yu observed and directed Lan.

Lan extended his hands, and arcs of electricity leaped from the metal plates, quickly enveloping Lan's body.

However, this level of electric shock seemed insignificant to Lan, and in a moment, Lan turned into a light orb, rushing towards the Noah statue.

But as the light orb approached the Noah statue, it was blocked.

Clearly, Lan had failed.

The light orb returned to the ground, reverting back to Lan's form.

Lan, gasping for breath, said, "No use, I can't enter this statue at all, let alone control this giant body."

"How about you, Princess? Do you want to try?" Chen Yu looked at Princess Emirana, asking her.

Since Lan had safely returned, it seemed there would be no harm in trying.

"Alright, I'll give it a shot!"

Princess Emirana, filled with unprecedented fighting spirit, stepped onto the Light Genetic Converter.

Then, just like Lan, she was enveloped by electric arcs, turning her into a light orb.

This light orb, too, was blocked upon approaching the Noah statue.

Returning to the ground, it reverted back to Princess Emirana's form.

"No go, I can't enter the statue either."

Princess Emirana shook her head.

Chen Yu was somewhat tempted to try himself but decided to let the last person, the young kid Xiao Zhi, step onto the Light Genetic Converter first.

Tiptoeing, Xiao Zhi placed his hands near the metal plates, and the electricity immediately took shape.

As Xiao Zhi turned into light, the Parajium Stone hanging from his chest also shone brightly, returning to its original place on the Shield of Parajium, fitting perfectly into its notch!

This scene left Chen Yu completely stunned.
