Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: Internal Struggle

Chen Yu pressed Daigo's hand onto the Genetic Light Converter.

Arcs of electricity coursed through it, jolting Daigo's body.

Amidst Daigo's astonished cries, his body slowly turned into light particles that gathered in the air.

"Don't hesitate, go for it, hit the target, enter its body!" Chen Yu urged Daigo.

Daigo, now a cluster of light particles, swiftly soared upwards and disappeared from Chen Yu's view.

Then, Chen Yu himself stepped onto the Genetic Light Converter and pressed his hand onto the panel.

Arcs of electricity surged through, stimulating Chen Yu's body.

Unsure if his non-genetic light-bearing body could transform, Chen Yu quickly found his answer.

Like Daigo, Chen Yu's body turned into a cluster of light particles, floating in the air.

Without hesitation, Chen Yu, following Daigo's lead, dashed out toward Evil Tiga, who was wreaking havoc on buildings.

Daigo's light particles arrived first, diving into Evil Tiga's Color Timer just as it was about to strike down a building.

Evil Tiga suddenly paused, his action halting as if frozen in place.

Taking advantage of this, Chen Yu's cluster of light particles also rushed into Evil Tiga's Color Timer.

It was like passing through a dark purple ripple, and Chen Yu arrived in a gloomy space.

Inside this space, two individuals were in a standoff: Daigo and Keigo Madoka.

Madoka, intending to attack Daigo, was caught off guard by Chen Yu, who slowly emerged from behind Daigo.

"How did you two... get in here!"

Beyond anger, Madoka was shocked.

The giant statue he had finally found could still be entered by others after his own entry, which was absurd!

"Mr. Keigo Madoka, all thanks to your Genetic Light Converter," Chen Yu said with a smile. "Otherwise, how could we enter the giant's body like you did?"

"You... you mean that device was actually useful!"

Madoka grew even angrier.

When he used it, the Genetic Light Converter did nothing.

Yet these two clueless individuals succeeded immediately!

"That I wouldn't know," Chen Yu continued. "Perhaps it's because we used a different Light Stick."

"So you're saying you had two sticks! That's why there were two Tigas!" Madoka realized. "Well, Mr. Madoka, would you prefer a one-on-one fight with us, or should the two of us take you on?"

As he spoke, Chen Yu assumed a cosmic martial arts stance.

Perhaps he might not defeat Dark Evil Tiga in transformed state, but as humans, Chen Yu wasn't afraid of Madoka, who had trained physically.

Seeing Chen Yu's stance, Daigo also prepared his martial arts pose, ready to battle Madoka.

Madoka, upon hearing Chen Yu's words, instinctively thought to choose.

But it seemed no matter his choice, it was always the two against him.

This was a duel?

Before Madoka could retort, Chen Yu charged, landing a punch to Madoka's abdomen.

Caught off guard, Madoka was hit and fell.

Daigo followed up, crashing into Madoka's chest with an Iron Mountain Lean, pushing him back.

Chen Yu then slid in front of Madoka, toppling him over.

Despite his physical training, Madoka's lack of combat experience made him no match for both Chen Yu and Daigo.

After several rounds, Madoka lay exhausted on the ground, bruised and battered.

Outside, Evil Tiga became unstable following Madoka's beatings, alternating between screams and rolling on the ground.

With roads and buildings already wrecked, the bystanders were distraught, unsure if there would be compensation after the battle.

Soon, Evil Tiga dissipated into three particles.

Two light particles mixed with a dark purple one returned to the chamber.

The two light particles transformed back into Chen Yu and Daigo, while the dark purple one became Madoka.

Chen Yu returned to the Genetic Light Converter, retrieving the Light Stick and storing the device in his spatial storage, leaving Daigo bewildered.

Madoka, still collapsed, awakened only when the yellow-haired dog bit his leg, yelping in pain.

"That hurts! What is this?!"

Startled awake, Madoka looked at the bite mark on his leg, confused.

"You were bitten by a dog," Chen Yu helpfully informed.

"Quick, take me to get a tetanus and rabies vaccine!"

Hearing this, Madoka urgently shouted.

Chen Yu and Daigo were speechless, both turning their gaze to Madoka.

Now devoid of the arrogance from his transformation into Evil Tiga, Madoka seemed to lose his wickedness.

"I'll inform TPC. You'll spend your time in TPC's sanatorium," Daigo coldly told Madoka.

Madoka, hearing this, tried to flee, knowing TPC's custody meant lifelong imprisonment.

Chen Yu grabbed Madoka, pulling him back, then took a rope from his spatial storage and tied Madoka's limbs.

"Daigo, there's another statue here, belonging to the yellow-haired dog," Chen Yu explained.

Daigo looked surprisedly at the dog and then at the statue, incredulous.

"Who would've thought such an ordinary dog in the human world would be a monster!"

"My point is, TPC's team will likely arrive here for an investigation soon," Chen Yu continued. "If you don't want the dog to be captured for research, I suggest letting it leave."

"I've suggested it leave, but it won't listen," Daigo earnestly said.

"Great suggestion, why not suggest," Chen Yu sarcastically remarked, calling the dog, "Come on, doggy, I'll take you for some treats!"

Avoiding detection by TPC's team, Chen Yu left Daigo behind, taking the dog away while checking the instance messages in his mind.

The mission completion notification relieved Chen Yu, allowing him to pursue his own interests.
