Chapter 10 - Awakening

- District X, Imperial Capital -

'Something is wrong with me. Why did I even check this place ahead of time?'

Far from the bustling affairs of the Bloodstone pack, Acceber finally decided to visit the area where she built her secret base. The towering walls greeted her, each with different patterns engraved from the bottom to the top. Before entering the gates, Acceber retrieved spiritual stones from her space and scattered them around the residence.

The plants around Acceber overgrew as if undergoing enlightenment. The overgrown plants easily covered areas where the stones fell. And these spiritual stones slowly melted as they seeped through the ground. It was as if nothing had happened in the area, and no traces of supernatural or human activity could be seen.

Acceber cut some of her hair and put them on a clean sheet of paper. She performed a martial arts dance in the middle of the forest. Markings appeared on the paper as if dust flown by her movements formed a magical formation. But there was no hint of surprise on Acceber's face who performed it for the first time in her two lives.

"Protection of light, come and bless the land with the faith of nature!"

Lightning and thunder rapidly fell from the sky, hitting the formation drawn on the paper. Then, Acceber cut the tip of her finger with a special knife engraved with ancient texts. Her blood, which fell from the wound, slowly became transparent before it reached the formation.

"Ishzvun shizen van xussan! Blood and tears. Fate and promise! Open the gate of time! Rewrite my destiny!"

A golden light erupted from the formation. The markings on the residence walls were also bathed with magical power. Acceber's left iris changed its color from blue to gold. And an ancient tattoo in silver markings appeared on her chest unknowingly. A drizzle of rain fell from the sky with the sun shining brightly, and rainbows formed beautifully.

The phenomenon caused a great stir in the Imperial Capital. Even the Bloodstone pack was alarmed by the explosion of heavenly power from an area next to District S. Yet Acceber, who caused the trouble, safely entered her new residence without a care for her surroundings.

'The house was well equipped with cabinets, storage containers, appliances, and even tools for all kinds of work! It's time for me to start filling up this place today with food and other necessities.'

She roamed around the house, checking for missing things from her list.

'But I truly don't know what happened earlier. I feel like Nicoletta's soul suddenly merged with mine before I could enter this home. Forcing me to perform a ritual that I couldn't even understand!'

Acceber decided to rest inside her space first to avoid thinking about things she didn't understand. She preferred to let nature take its course and unveil the mystery when she was ready. She also had a lot of priorities.

- District S, Bloodstone Pack -

"Stephen, what's wrong?" After witnessing the odd phenomenon in the sky, Adriana sensed something was wrong with her husband.

"Let's look for mother and father. I need to tell them an urgent news about my sister." Stephen held Adriana's hand and rushed out of their resting room.

A while ago, they could see the sudden change in the weather from the third floor of the packhouse. Golden light erupted after the lightning fell, followed by the light rain under the shining sun, which was very intriguing.

"Is something wrong with Ace?" Adriana asked curiously.

"Honey, can you dial my sister's phone? Let's make sure she doesn't leave the house in City A." Stephen had doubts that he couldn't explain to his wife, who knew nothing about their family's secret.

"Son, what's wrong?" Standing beside his mother and the rest of the pack, Maximilian asked confusedly.

"Dad, it's terrible."

"Stephen, what happened?" This time, it was Alexandra who asked the anxious-looking Stephen.

"Stephen, my call can't get through!" Adriana mentioned, feeling panicked. She sensed her husband's emotions, and they strongly affected her. "Can you tell us what's the matter? Is there an emergency with Ace?"

"Mom, dad, Ace awakened her other soul! The seal in her body has finally loosened! I don't know what happened, but she has something to do with the odd phenomenon we witnessed."

Everyone around them felt confused, but Alexandra's face looked horrific. "Liza, do you remember the thirteenth prophecy of Priestess Eliana?"

"I do!" Elizabeth answered with an inquiring gaze.

"The seal was broken. Let's prepare for war immediately!" Alexandra motioned for her husband to talk with Zephyr and some members of the founding families. "Stephen, I'm afraid we must hurry your wedding date. It's better to have it this week. Since the seal on your sister's body broke on its own, the war between the world and the evil faction will arise. I do not know when, but it is already near!"

With a solemn face, Zephyr spoke to his pack members, who knew nothing about the thirteenth prophecy. "A long time ago, we fought the war against evil cultivators. We won the war, but we failed to eradicate the root cause of the war. Priestess Eliana was one of the greatest oracles of the Yin Clan who foresaw that the world would again wait for a more terrifying and destructive war that might cause the Earth to perish."

"A child born on a red moon will bear half of the responsibilities in saving the world. This child will have her soul broken in two, and she will face hardships and death. We did not have any idea who that child would be. But looking at the current situation, it seems like the child was born in the Yin Clan."

Alexandra's face hardened. "I was also unaware that my daughter would bear the cause. I thought that her going missing for a few months meant something like a typical kidnapping case or her being rebellious and running away to cool down things." She sat on the chair, full of loneliness. 'I knew my daughter's birth body, but I never expected her to return with the body of her twin soul. A body that reeked with the aura of death and blood.'

"Mother, let me check on my sister!" Stephen voiced out his thoughts all of a sudden. "I can feel that the distance between me and her is closer than we thought."

"Your sister must be in District X," Drake spoke unconsciously.
