Chereads / Apocalypse: A Gathering of Beauties in My Base / Chapter 41 - Don't Waste Bullets

Chapter 41 - Don't Waste Bullets

Georgia saw the zombie in uniform about to pounce towards the door, ready to shoot, but Dylan stopped her.

"It's just one, don't waste bullets!" Dylan went straight in and chopped the zombie's head in half with a single blow, and it collapsed.

Dylan checked the zombie on the ground, realizing it had been dead for a while. It seemed the zombie attacked here, and this officer killed the zombie but got bitten accidentally, eventually turning into one.

It appeared there were no survivors in the entire police station. Dylan and Alberta were about to leave when suddenly they heard someone calling for help.

"Hey, is it the rescue team?"

Following the sound, Dylan and Georgia discovered there was a secret door in the office.

Dylan kicked open the secret door, startling the person inside.

"I'm from the city police station.

 Who are you?"

Dylan found it was like a hidden paradise inside, with beds and sofas.

At this moment, a man in uniform was hiding in the corner, shouting loudly.

Upon seeing this man, Georgia was surprised. "

Jacques? What are you doing here?"

Upon seeing Georgia, Jacques exclaimed with joy, "Georgia, is that really you? Did you come to rescue me? I knew you still cared about me!"

Georgia frowned upon hearing this and said coldly, "Jacques, I'm glad you're alive. But please, don't misunderstand."

Jacques, however, was not pleased with Georgia's indifferent attitude and approached her with a smile. "Georgia, I know you still have feelings for me, right?"

Georgia stepped back, showing her disgust. "I'm sorry, you're mistaken."

Dylan felt disgusted seeing Jacques act like a sycophant, which was an insult to his image as a police officer.

The girl clearly wasn't interested in you. Is it really interesting to have such a self-righteous attitude?

Perhaps feeling Dylan's gaze, Jacques looked him up and down, realizing Dylan was much more handsome than him, feeling a bit jealous.

He straightened his chest, trying to appear taller, and then looked at Dylan with an air of superiority.

"You, too, are part of the police system, right?"

"I'm not a police officer," Dylan retorted unkindly, then turned around and prepared to leave. He really didn't want to say another word to this kind of person.Georgia couldn't help but want to laugh at Dylan's remark, but she restrained herself because of Jacques's presence.

Seeing Dylan not taking him seriously and even mocking himself in front of his goddess, Jacques became annoyed. His face darkened when he noticed the Knife in Dylan's hand.

"Wait a minute! You said you're not a police officer, but you're carrying a controlled knife. Do you know that's illegal?"

Dylan, who was about to leave, couldn't help but burst into laughter upon hearing this. Even Georgia looked at Jacques as if he were an idiot.

"Idiot!" Dylan didn't want to waste any more time with him and left without a word.

Jacques, feeling embarrassed and angry, chased after him. "Who are you calling an idiot? I'll report you for insulting an officer..."

Suddenly, Jacques stopped talking mid-sentence. Dylan turned around to see Jacques petrified by the sight of two zombies lying on the ground.

Seeing Jacques like that, Dylan knew he was a coward. Looking at the zombies on the ground, Dylan seemed to figure something out.

"What's wrong, scared now? If you hadn't been hiding in the dark all this time and had come out to help your colleague, maybe your colleague wouldn't have sacrificed himself?"

Dylan voiced his speculation, causing Jacques to feel overwhelmed. He kept apologizing to the police officer zombie's body.

Seeing Jacques's reaction, Dylan knew his guess was almost certainly correct. He gave Jacques a contemptuous look and walked away.

Georgia, on the other hand, understood what was going on after seeing Jacques's behavior. Jacques was a disgrace to the police station, and the more she looked at him, the more annoyed she felt. So she followed Dylan out.

"Hey hey hey, Georgia, where are you going? Wait for me!"

Jacques, who had realized what was happening, hurriedly followed.

Until they reached the entrance on the ground floor, no one paid any attention to Jacques. It wasn't until Jacques saw the off-road vehicle and Alberta and her friends beside it that he froze.

There were three beauties here, all comparable to Georgia in terms of looks.

What the heck! When did the police station get new recruits? How did I not know about this?

Could they be from Georgia's security team?

Seeing so many beautiful women, Jacques suddenly felt energized. He straightened his posture, trying to appear more dignified.

Clearing his throat, he pretended to inquire, "Uh, Georgia Captain, are those few female comrades from your security team?""No!" Georgia replied sharply, not wanting to say another word to him.

"Then who are they?" Jacques persisted.

"They are my people. What's it to you?" Dylan's tone was cold.

Jacques squinted at Dylan, taking in the sight of him surrounded by so many beautiful women. He couldn't help but feel envy and jealousy.

Looking at the knives in everyone's hands, Jacques threatened, "All your people are carrying controlled knives. Are you all part of some underworld gang? Do you think I can't arrest you?"

Everyone was stunned by Jacques's words. Did this guy have a mental problem? Didn't he know what was happening outside?

"You want to try?" Dylan's expression turned cold. He had encountered idiots before, but never one as idiotic as this.

Jacques took a step back, intimidated by Dylan's gaze. He could sense that Dylan must have killed someone before, or else he wouldn't exude such a strong aura of intimidation.

Fine! There are too many of them now, I won't confront them.

Once society is back in order, I'll make sure to take him down.

It'll be a chance for me to shine.

As for those beautiful women, they must have been lured and threatened by him.

I'll help them out of this mess.

Then, I'll use some means to make them grateful to me.

Thinking this, Jacques smirked coldly and walked away.

He didn't dare to look at Dylan's face again, simply bypassing him and going to the off-road vehicle.

"Whose car is this?" Jacques asked.

"Also mine," Dylan turned to look at him, expressionless.

Jacques felt annoyed.

This guy seemed to have everything. No wonder there were so many beautiful women around him.

Just this car alone could attract a lot of people. In the current chaos of the city, having such a car was like having a mobile fortress.

If he had a car like this, he could safely return home.

"Um, as a police officer, I'm informing you that your car is now requisitioned! Georgia, get in, I'll take you home!"Jacques made his declaration with great solemnity, as if his words alone could make the car his own.

Seeing that no one responded, he smugly turned to Alberta and the others, saying, "And these beautiful ladies here.

My father is the chief of police at Bluewater Bay Police Department. If you're willing to come with me, I'll make sure my father protects you well!"

Jacques looked at Dylan, feeling very pleased with himself. He thought, "Haha, challenge me, and I can make you lose everything in an instant!"

He turned to open the car door, preparing to get in. Suddenly, he realized that a knife had been placed against his neck at some point.

"Do you dare to try?" The voice was cold yet melodic. Jacques couldn't believe it. Slowly, he turned his head and saw Alberta's frosty expression.

Dylan's eyes showed admiration. "Hmm, she's indeed my woman, making progress!"

He glanced at Georgia, who was only watching coldly, without intervening. It seemed that even Georgia couldn't tolerate Jacques's behavior.

"Miss, don't act rashly! You should know that assaulting an officer is a serious offense that could land you in jail!" Jacques stood there, not daring to move, but trying to warn Alberta verbally.
