Chapter 7 - Misunderstanding

Cherry's voice was extremely loud, instantly drawing the attention of everyone in the dining hall.

At that moment, a young man rushed over from behind Dylan, concernedly asking, "What's wrong, Cherry? Who made you angry?"

Seeing her backup arrive, Cherry's confidence surged even more.

Pointing at Dylan, she cursed, "This pauper dared to call me a fly. I don't care, if I don't beat his mouth today, I won't let it go!"

"You're going too far, Cherry! I won't allow you to insult my friend." Alberta was genuinely angry now. Insulting her friend in front of her was like slapping her face.

Upon hearing this, Cherry looked at Alberta with malicious eyes and said, "I'm going too far?

You slut, you really think you're the campus belle!

What's the use of being pretty?

You've just found yourself a pauper boyfriend. Disgusting!"

"You..." Alberta was so angry she couldn't speak.

The young man who had rushed over couldn't take his eyes off Alberta.

Damn! She's really beautiful!

Although Cherry was also pretty, compared to Alberta, it was like comparing a wild chicken to a phoenix, a world of difference.

Perfect! Today, he'll show some dominance and let this beauty see his power.

Maybe, this beauty will even switch sides after seeing my strength.

"You, come out here, and watch me today..." The young man walked up to Dylan, ready to confront him, but when he saw Dylan's face, he was dumbfounded.

"Holy crap! Manager Dylan!"

Dylan chuckled, "Well, Dwight Manager, what a coincidence!"

The young man was actually Dwight Manager from the company Dylan bought fresh meat from today.

Dwight Manager's face turned sour, "Manager Dylan, what are you doing eating at a place like this?"

Dylan glanced at Cherry who was still standing there, then smirked, "Well, us paupers with lowly lives can only afford to eat here, you know."

Dwight Manager felt embarrassed, "Manager Dylan, is there some misunderstanding here?"

"Misunderstanding? Cherry insisted on buying our crab casserole today. When we didn't agree, she insulted me and my friend. Do you think that's a misunderstanding?" Before Dylan could speak, Alberta stood up directly, angrily stating her case.

Dwight Manager understood now. This woman was really good at stirring up trouble for herself.

Turning around, he slapped Cherry across the face without hesitation."You despicable person, causing trouble even while eating! You've offended my big client. You're really a jinx. Quickly apologize to Manager Dylan and this lady, then get lost!"

Cherry, tears welling up in her eyes, covering her face, looked at Dwight Manager incredulously, saying, "You... you hit me?"

Dwight Manager, seeing her reaction, couldn't help but feel angry. "Hit you? That's nothing. Do you really think you're something special? Apologize quickly, or else, do you believe I'll have you sent to 'Sea Heaven Banquet' to be someone's plaything?"

Cherry trembled at the thought of being used as a tool in "Sea Heaven Banquet."

Suddenly, she fell to her knees, facing Dylan. "I'm sorry, Manager Dylan. I looked down on you and offended you. Please forgive me!"

Dylan didn't even glance at her, coldly stating, "I think you should apologize to my friend instead."

Cherry suddenly turned to Alberta, pleading, "Alberta, I'm sorry. I was despicable. Please forgive me this time, considering we're classmates!"

Alberta was ultimately soft-hearted. After all, they were classmates. Since the other party had apologized, she didn't want to pursue it further.

Seeing that Dylan and Alberta didn't say anything more, Dwight Manager looked at Cherry disdainfully. "Hurry up and get lost. Don't let me see you again in the future!"

Cherry, feeling like she'd been granted a reprieve, got up immediately and left the restaurant in embarrassment.

With the melodramatic scene over, the diners in the hall happily returned their attention to their meals.

Dylan sat down and looked at Dwight Manager, who stood there hesitantly, wanting to say something.

"Dwight Manager, why don't you sit down and have something to eat with us?" Dylan suggested.

Dwight Manager quickly waved his hand. "No, no, I won't disturb you. By the way, Manager Dylan, you can just call me Elvis from now on! Also, I'll settle the bill for you today!"

After Elvis finished speaking, he turned to leave, but Dylan stopped him.

"Today, I'm treating my friend, so please don't steal my thunder!"

Elvis glanced at Alberta and instantly understood.

He was about to bid farewell when Dylan asked, "Oh, by the way, what's this 'Sea Heaven Banquet' you mentioned? And what do you mean by someone's plaything?"

Elvis looked at Dylan in shock. "Manager Dylan, you don't know about that?"

Dylan shook his head. "I've been abroad for the past few years, so..."

Elvis nodded, understanding.

"The 'Sea Heaven Banquet' is an event that has become popular in Bluewater Bay in the past two years.

It's a trade exhibition jointly organized by some luxury companies, specifically inviting people from the upper class to attend.

This year's 'Sea Heaven Banquet' is scheduled to start in seven days.""Regarding the 'plaything' matter..." Elvis glanced at Alberta opposite him, hesitated for a moment, and then whispered softly in Dylan's ear, "It's not convenient to talk about it here.

Let me add you on VX, and we can chat privately!"

Dylan was taken aback.

Oh, there's something fishy going on here! Understood!

After adding Dylan on VX, Elvis bid farewell and left.

Dylan and Alberta were already famished, and after the commotion, they had lost their appetite for conversation.

They poured all their frustrations into enjoying the delicious food.

However, what astonished Dylan was the exquisite taste of the dishes.

It was no exaggeration to say that these dishes were the best he had ever tasted in his life.

If these dishes were served in the apocalypse, they would probably spark a major conflict.

The pleasure on their taste buds dispelled the unpleasantness of the earlier incident.

Even Alberta couldn't help but smile with satisfaction seeing Dylan devouring his food.

"I made the right choice in selecting this place, didn't I?" she thought to herself.

Both of them were determined to leave no trace on their plates; they almost licked them clean.

After wiping his mouth, Dylan gave Alberta a thumbs-up.

"Alberta Miss, thank you for bringing me here!"

Alberta, feeling embarrassed, replied, "No, you should thank Manager Dylan for his generous invitation!"

They shared a hearty laugh, and the previous unpleasantness evaporated into thin air.

While Alberta went to the restroom, Dylan headed to the cashier's counter.

However, his attention was caught by the medals displayed on the wall.

[National Chef Competition Gold Medal]

[Bluewater Bay Special Chef for External Hospitality]

[International "God of Cuisine" Cup Winner]

[Bluewater Bay Top Ten Outstanding Young Women]

Huh? Young women? Is the boss a woman?

Suddenly, an image popped into Dylan's mind: a plump woman stirring a pot.

Ah! Why do I always think about such things? As long as the food tastes good, who cares about someone's body shape? It's not like I'm eating them!

However, the beautiful woman sitting at the cashier's counter did make Dylan's mouth water.

"Hello, can I speak to your boss?" he asked.
