I wake up first.
It's so bright inside. Sunlight gushes through the white curtains in the window, casting a warm brightness all over the room. My eyes land on the radio alarm on the bedside table. It's already midday!
No wonder, it's this late, considering how late we actually slept last night. It was already morning when we went to bed.
Damien is buried in the covers. I quickly scramble to remove the beddings off of him. God! He is not breathing!
Shit! Shit! Shit!
Perhaps he suffocated under the beddings! No way that's possible. I mean I always sleep with my entire body covered from head to toe. He couldn't have suffocated. Or could he?
No! No! No!
"Damien!" I call him while shaking him gently. "Damien, wake up!" He doesn't move even a bit. He is dead! No he is not.
Ummm.... Uhh! What should I do?
