After watching the fireworks, the two drove back to the city.
"Heading straight back?" Gu Ran asked.
Su Qing didn't answer.
Gu Ran glanced at her quickly, then focused on the road ahead, seriously driving as he asked, "Tired?"
"There's a place I want to take you," Su Qing said, looking out the window.
"Sure, how do we get there?" Gu Ran said.
"Aren't you going to ask where it is?" Su Qing turned to look at him.
"If I said I was taking you somewhere, you would probably ask... seems like you would."
Su Qing smiled, "Looks like you know you're unreliable."
"That's just going to a place, but if I was to feed you something, would you suspect anything?"
"No."
"Right," Gu Ran said, smug.
"I also hope that in the future, when I give you something to eat, you won't doubt me either and will just swallow it down with water."
"...where are we going? If you don't tell me soon, we might take the wrong turn."
"We won't." Su Qing looked ahead, "There's a McDonald's everywhere."
