As soon as his arrogance subsided, Gu Ran immediately rushed back to the villa, wanting to see Su Qing earlier.
He also understood that staying in the sea for too long could make one hesitant, contemplating how to interact with Su Qing in the manner of a couple. Thinking too much naturally led to nervousness.
For most people, ample preparation does not eliminate nervousness, but rather, the more prepared they are, the more they worry about failure.
The best way to avoid nervousness, apart from escaping, was to just go ahead and do it.
When Gu Ran arrived back at the villa, only Zhuang Jing and Chen Ke were there, both preparing breakfast in the kitchen.
"Good morning," Gu Ran greeted.
"Good morning," Chen Ke smiled as she said, dressed in a T-shirt and shorts that doubled as pajamas, her waist slender and her legs white and long.
"Went surfing?" Zhuang Jing asked.
"Yeah," Gu Ran peered at the cutting board, a breakfast very much in Zhuang Jing's style.
