As the workday was drawing to a close, everyone received a notice that they would be dining at Chunshan Banquet that evening to welcome Zhang Ying's joining.
Su Qing hadn't deliberately arranged for the welcome party to be held today. Zhuang Jing was going on a business trip on Friday and wouldn't be back until Sunday, so it had to be today.

Gu Ran nodded and then asked He Qingyan, "Does Mrs. Xiang also go on trips often?"
"What do you want to know for?" He Qingyan shot back at him, "Are you planning to do something indecent while the adults aren't home? I've read 'Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf,' you know. I won't be opening the door for you."
