The Wolf's Den was very large, and contrary to Li Chengshuo's expectation, it wasn't smelly. She knew she had less than fifteen minutes before the Silver Wolves returned from their hunt, so she had to leave before then, and she had to get far away. Otherwise, if the pack caught up to her, she would be in grave danger!
As she ventured deeper into the Wolf's Den, Li Chengshuo saw an exceptionally large Silver Wolf. She recognized its role, the mate to the Wolf King—the Wolf Queen responsible for caring for and guarding the wolf pups.
By the Wolf Queen's side were several pregnant she-wolves, as well as juvenile Silver Wolves that hadn't yet reached maturity.
They were lined up, blocking the originally spacious passage with their massive bodies. Though they hadn't spotted Li Chengshuo, they obstructed her escape route!
