Nanahara Takeshi withdrew his gaze from her face and after pondering for a moment, he asked again, "Are you sure the note was left by Miss Daiseki?"
"Certain," Hachiki Kiku replied without hesitation, "Otake's handwriting looks as if she had a ruler underneath, all the characters line up in a straight line, flat on the bottom, very recognizable, I couldn't possibly have it wrong."
Nanahara Takeshi smiled and nodded, then asked about another matter, "So what does Miss Daiseki usually do? Iwafuji-san spends most of his time in spiritual practice, and she doesn't go there much, nor does she go home, so what does she do when she's alone?"
"She just stays at home, waiting by the phone for Iwafuji-san to call her," Hachiki Kiku pointed at the TV in the living room, "For entertainment, she usually watches cooking shows or rents videotapes to watch TV dramas."
"Doesn't go out much?"
