Nine years ago, an animal cruelty incident happened at Hirarano Matsutou High School, where rabbits kept at the school's small breeding farm were attacked at night. They were hung upside down and killed right in front of their cages, which provoked public indignation within the school. Although killing two rabbits didn't count as a criminal offense, the incident escalated into one because the students themselves identified the culprit, leading to an assault case.
