She found the tofu cool, with a hint of saltiness that had just a touch of sweetness, superbly balancing the beany taste without masking its aroma. The pouring technique seemed to be meticulous as each piece of tofu was coated with a nearly identical amount of sauce, and it was slippery smooth, leaving a slightly numbing aftertaste.
The coolness paired with a numbing sensation indeed made for a refreshing bite.
Even though it was just a minor cold dish, and still not as delicious as meat, she had to admit it was quite skillful.
