JOHN'S POV.
(The previous evening)
I poured myself fruit wine after finishing my work for the day. It had been so long since I finished my daily work. Most of the time, I carried over work to the next day, so the wine was more of a celebration thing.
"Didn't know wine still tastes good in an office setting." I murmured to myself, and looked out the window. "It's snowing."
'It's snowing, John! Aliens!' I heard Emily scream in my head. Her giggles followed. 'I know they're not aliens. What do I say? Childhood stories stick!'
That was our first Christmas together. The snow had come really late, making everyone wonder if it was ever going to snow that Christmas. Alas, it had.
"We didn't imagine a Christmas without her, John." I said, swirling my drink in my glass.
Just then, my door was pushed open.
"Gosh." I exclaimed, softly, as I was caught off guard.
Katie stormed in, and stood in front of me.
