Adrian's POV
The underground chamber smelled of damp stone and old blood of the countless meetings that had taken place here, most of them ending in bloodshed. The flickering torchlight cast long shadows on the walls, distorting the faces around me. Some I recognized, others I didn't. But we all had one thing in common: we wanted Mason gone.
Silas stood at the center of the room, arms crossed, his expression as hard as the rock around us. "We don't have much time," he said, his deep voice cutting through the murmurs. "Emily's arrest was a warning. Mason's paranoia is growing. If we don't act soon, he'll wipe us all out before we even have a chance to fight back."
A younger wolf, probably no older than twenty, stepped forward. "What if she talks?" His voice wavered slightly, betraying his nerves.
Silas shook his head. "She won't. She knows what's at stake."
