After the training, we returned to the mansion to find rows of maids and butlers waiting for us, with Sebas standing at the front.
"Welcome back, my Lord, Lady Gremory, and her peerage. I have prepared baths for all of you. Please clean yourselves and then come to the dining hall," Sebas said elegantly.
Hearing him, Rias and the rest of the peerage opened their mouths in surprise.
"Alex, who is this? And what's with all these maids and butlers?" Rias asked, her eyes wide with curiosity and a hint of bewilderment.
"Allow me to introduce Sebas," I said, gesturing towards him. "He's one of the butlers from Nazarick, and these are the maids who assist him. I called them to help us out since we've had such a rigorous day of training. They'll be taking care of everything while we're here."
Akeno smiled appreciatively. "Well, this is certainly a pleasant surprise. Thank you, Alexander."
Kiba, still looking around in awe, nodded. "This is incredible. I've never seen such a well-organized and elegant staff."
Issey and Asia, still a bit wide-eyed, seemed more focused on the prospect of food and a hot bath. "This is amazing," Issey said, almost under his breath.
Koneko simply nodded, her usual stoic expression softened by the comfort that awaited.
"Now, go ahead and take your baths," I encouraged them. "Dinner will be ready by the time you're done."
As they moved towards their respective rooms, Sebas and the maids bowed respectfully, guiding each member of the peerage to their baths. I could see the tension from the day's training begin to melt away as they realized they were in good hands.
After ensuring everyone was settled, I turned to Sebas. "Thank you for arranging everything, Sebas. Your efficiency is, as always, impeccable."
Sebas bowed again. "It is my honor and duty, my Lord. We are here to serve."
As I headed to my own quarters to clean up, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. With Sebas and the maids handling the logistics, we could focus entirely on the upcoming Rating Game. This little touch of home would give Rias and her peerage the comfort and morale boost they needed to face the challenges ahead.
Once everyone was clean and refreshed, we reconvened in the dining hall, where a sumptuous feast awaited us.
"Uoooo! It's delicious! It's really delicious!" Issey and Koneko exclaimed, eating like there was no tomorrow.
The rest of them tried to eat more elegantly, or at least they attempted to. We were having our dinner after finishing a long day of training, and the food was a much-needed reward.
Since my cooking skills were lacking, I had called Sebas and some of the maids from Nazarick to help. They had prepared an extravagant spread, using the herbs Kiba had collected earlier for spices.
The meat dish, boar from the 6th floor of Nazarick, was a first for me. The taste was amazing, without any strange flavors. The fish dish, caught by Rias, was simply cooked with salt and tasted equally delicious. There were also various other types of food on the table.
"I think it's too much for just seven people," I remarked, looking at the feast laid out before us.
"You think? I don't think I've ever seen this much food in one place," Kiba replied, eyes wide with amazement.
Rias chuckled. "Well, it's certainly a feast. But after today's training, I think we deserve it."
Akeno nodded, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Indeed. We need to replenish our energy for tomorrow."
Issey and Koneko were already digging in, barely pausing to breathe between bites. "This is amazing!" Issey exclaimed with his mouth full.
Koneko, more reserved but equally enthusiastic, nodded in agreement. "Delicious," she said simply.
"I'm glad you all like it," I said. "Sebas and the maids really outdid themselves. They deserve a lot of credit for this spread."
Sebas, standing nearby, bowed slightly. "It is our pleasure to serve, my Lord."
Rias smiled warmly. "Thank you, Sebas. This is truly wonderful."
As the evening continued, the atmosphere grew even more relaxed. Conversations flowed easily, laughter echoed through the dining hall, and the camaraderie among us strengthened. The food was exceptional, each dish more delectable than the last, and it was clear that everyone was thoroughly enjoying themselves.
"To our success in the upcoming Rating Game," I toasted, raising my glass.
"To our success!" everyone echoed, clinking their glasses together.
After the meal, we lingered around the table, talking about the day's training and sharing stories. It was a perfect end to a challenging day, and I could see that the dinner had lifted everyone's spirits.
Before heading to bed, Rias pulled me aside. "Thank you, Alex," she said softly. "For everything. I know it hasn't been easy, but your support means the world to me."
I smiled, "Anything for you, Rias. After all, I did introduced myself as your boyfriend. So it's my duty after all."
To which she just smiled with a small blush.
"You should go to sleep now, after all you need to wake up at 6 am tomorrow." I said to her.
She nodded at me but before she go to her room, she suddenly kissed me on my lips.
"This is for standing up for me." She said after which she run towards her room.
"Cute"
