Carrying the latest gaming console for the chubby guy, a bag for his wife, and a longevity lock for his child, Gu Tao knocked on the very familiar door. The chubby guy's wife opened the door; she looked somewhat haggard, clearly taken aback when she saw Gu Tao.
"Hey, sister-in-law," Gu Tao said with a smile, "Where's that fatso?"
The chubby guy's wife paused, didn't speak, and silently stepped aside to let Gu Tao in. He took off his shoes and walked into the house, but as soon as he entered, he saw a black-and-white photo in the living room, with red candlelight shining below it. A two or three-year-old child lay asleep on the couch, covered with a blanket, a beautiful pattern of lines on their arm. Gu Tao remembered it; it was the amulet he had given to the chubby guy's child.
He quietly placed the items on the table and looked at the face in the black-and-white photo, then incredulously turned to look at the chubby guy's wife.
"Sister-in-law... When did this happen?"
