The police officer quickly arrived at the scene and lifted both Gu Tao and the strange man off the ground where they were scuffling.
"What's going on? You two aren't young anymore, what's the issue?"
"Pah." Gu Tao touched the corner of his mouth where blood had been drawn, then pointed at a bag of chestnuts on the ground: "I was sitting there eating chestnuts, and he came up to me saying I should be dead. Can you believe that during the New Year's?"
"You should've been dead, no, you probably have been dead for a long time."
"Bullshit!" Gu Tao rolled up his sleeves again: "I'll make sure you're eating candles next year on this day!"
"Enough!"
The police officer barred the way with his baton: "You're both coming with me!"
