Weiwei's cooking skills had become increasingly exceptional, so much so that Gu Tao forced himself to eat two bowls of rice despite being full. He felt like he had swallowed an entire Indonesian python and would rather die than move.
"I only finished off the food you packed for me this morning," Gu Tao said as he lounged lazily on the carpet, with half a chilled watermelon next to him, the kind you scoop out with a spoon. The experience was at least three times better than eating it in slices, "By the way, I saw you were about to go out this morning, aren't you scared anymore?"
"I'm much better now," Weiwei came out of the kitchen, removed her apron and rubber gloves, and sat down on the little stool beside Gu Tao, taking a sip of her warm red tea, "How could you eat it after so long?"
"I have a special way of keeping food fresh," Gu Tao chuckled, "Where were you planning to go this morning?"
