"No," Wen Ying turned to glance at Gu Tao, smiling as she said, "Little Ying, perhaps it's time for us to part ways."
Chengying stood there stunned, at a loss for words, remaining silent.
"You've accompanied me for over a thousand years; it's time you found a new master." Wen Ying stepped forward, caressing Chengying's hair, "Go on, we were never quite compatible, and you've been wronged in my hands."
"I'm not wronged... I'm not wronged... You are my sister, you can't send me away!"
Chengying shook her head stubbornly, but Wen Ying didn't say much more, just opened her arms and hugged Chengying like she hugged Gu Tao, allowing Chengying to cry freely in her embrace until her emotions had somewhat settled. Then Wen Ying took a strand of her long hair, slid her finger along it, and the hair fell into her hand. She slowly tied the hair around Chengying's ankle as she knelt down.
"Sister is tired," Wen Ying said with a smile, "Sister wants to live a life that is truly my own."
