Lu Chuan walked into the coffee shop and sat across from Ning Xin.
Ning Xin immediately sat up straight, assuming a haughty posture, and said, "Let me make something clear. The only reason I'm asking for your help is that I have no other choice. Don't flatter yourself too much; you are just my very very very last option."
Lu Chuan laughed as he sized up Ning Xin and said, "I don't believe you."
Ning Xin was taken aback, "Believe it or not, that's up to you!"
A teasing smile appeared on Lu Chuan's face as he suddenly asked, "Do you like me or something?"
Ning Xin's eyes widened, "Why are you so narcissistic!"
Lu Chuan's gaze drifted downward, landing on the front of her dress, "If you don't like me, then why did you intentionally leave two buttons undone? Isn't that to win my favor?"
Ning Xin huffed, "Don't flatter yourself, I just forgot to button them, that's all."
Lu Chuan nodded thoughtfully, "I see, so that's how it is. It seems I was overthinking."
