"Sorry, I can only come out for a short while."
In the bookstore, Fu Qian was sitting in a rocking chair, flipping through a gossip magazine when Wen Li's voice sounded from the front.
As Fu Qian looked up, the speaker was looking over with a face full of apology.
"My father and the others were a bit emotional, I tried my best to calm them down before coming out, and I can't stay for too long."
"Are you sure there's no problem?"
Fu Qian blinked.
"Um... It's all right."
Wen Li smiled somewhat sheepishly and pointed at herself.
"On one hand, I tried to calm them down, on the other hand, considering your actions, they were a bit worried about my reaction, even taking the time to comfort me."
"It's only human – after all, in their eyes, I should be furious by now, vowing to avenge this great humiliation, like having your store burned down or something."
"Surely they can't be so clueless."
