In the world of magic, the true gods possess Divine Domains generally associated with the Divine Kingdoms. Within the Divine Kingdoms, true gods were able to define specific rules such as in some kingdoms where the force of the wind was defined as impossible to exist, and thus invaders would find it difficult to use wind-related powers.
If one wanted to forcefully use such powers, it would depend on whether the individual's strength was sufficient. If strong enough, they could suppress that distortion within their own sphere of influence, but this would clearly consume more energy.
