The plan to split the continent had been in place for quite some time. Even before the world had reached its worst state, they were already considering how to deal with the moving anomaly. This world had conducted a fair amount of research on anomalies, even carrying out explorations into them.
However, anomalies didn't appear many times a year, and their existence was brief. Many explorers went missing during the initial investigations, disappearing along with the vanishing anomalies into another world.
Still, those explorers had sufficient equipment to support them, and they weren't likely to die immediately. After all, they had used some high-end devices to carry people across. Even if the explorers passed out upon arrival, the equipment could keep the drivers safe, waiting for them to wake up.
But returning? There was no chance of that.
