"We weren't prepared with enough weaponry to take down this creature; the cost would have been extraordinarily high," said an experienced Alien Phenomenon hunter as he examined the sandworm's corpse, its fatal injury being that both of its hearts had been destroyed.
The inside of the creature's body was torn apart by some powerful attack. As for who did it, they hadn't seen, they were just following the group leader's instructions to deal with the sandworm's corpse.
They had to move quickly, as scouts had spotted the local natives approaching, and these were not ordinary individuals. It was clear that they came with the intention of confronting invaders.
"But it's already dead," another hunter stated, poking the sandworm's corpse with the dagger in his hand. Even in death, the creature's skin remained tough, and it was difficult for the dagger to penetrate.
"That's what's so outrageous. It hasn't even been half an hour since we received the notification," he added.
