Dusk is a very special power; their people once obtained weapons from the Dusk mercenaries. Some forge masters who examined them praised them highly. The construction of these items was flawless, as if the weapons were naturally formed and had grown into their final shape. The treatment of materials and all else had reached the pinnacle.
It was a level of craftsmanship they would find hard to match in their lifetimes.
That's the advantage of Dusk mercenaries. Without it, how else would these mercenaries get close to Dusk? Not to mention Dusk mercenaries, some of their own had been tempted... But some things, once done, preclude acceptance by Dusk. Those confident in themselves could, indeed, go and issue a challenge.
But even if they succeeded in the challenge, they would not become Dusk mercenaries; instead, they would become existences like Proxy Agents, completely bound to Dusk with no chance of escape.
