"Pain! Such agony! This pain is piercing deep into my marrow!" Emily wailed inwardly. Only now did she realize how excruciating it was to cut open her own belly with a knife. Previously, when she harvested organs from others, she always liked to tie them to the operating table, refrain from using anesthesia, and extract organs such as the heart, liver, spleen, stomach, and kidneys while they were still alive. Each time, as she felt the warm blood dripping by her hand, she would become intoxicated, revelling in the thrill of controlling life and death.
However, today, when she saw her own blood-covered right hand, her heart was filled with fear, dread, and nausea. But she didn't want to die; the intense desire to live gave her the courage.
With that thought, Emily's hands trembled as she firmly grasped the handle of the knife, clenched her teeth, and forcefully made a cut.
