Not allowing the J-20 series aircraft to fly was fine by Lin Mo, as his original intention wasn't to work on the J-20 fighter jet anyway. His goal was to prove the reliability of the vector engine design and to create a prototype. As for other matters, he was not overly concerned.
Even if he ultimately had to abandon the attempt to fit vector thrust engines on the J-20 series, it would be a loss for the country, not for Lin Mo himself.
